Kiambi Safaris Lodge

We had an great stay at Kiambi Safari Lodge with our young children (ages 8 and 3) From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home, everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive, especially with the little ones. The food was absolutely delicious – a talented chef who made every meal something to look forward to! The lodge is very well run by Janine, who clearly cares deeply about the guest’s experience. Our day game drive was a true highlight – the kids loved it, and we all got to see some amazing wildlife. The fishing activities were also fantastic making for a fun and relaxing activity. Kiambi Safari Lodge is the perfect blend of comfort, adventure, and warm hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!

What a wonderful place! Had we known how lovely the accommodation was, how delicious the food was and how perfect it was to watch the Zambezi while enjoying a sundowner by the fire, we definitely would have stayed longer! A super place, we all loved it.

My booking into Kiambi was pretty random but what a find! To get the full experience of the lower Zambezi I’d look no further. It has it all: easily accessible from Lusaka, direct exposure to the true wilderness of the mighty Zambezi, comfortable accommodation with a variety of options to suit one’s pocket, great food with excellent chefs who accommodate a number of dietary options (in my case, vegan); superb elevated views across and way up the river, attentive and friendly staff, excellent river and game guides and activities that include: sunset game drives by boat; fishing; transportation by boat to the world class Lower Zambezi Park for an inland game drive for superb game and bird viewing, excellent and attentive. Right up there with one of my best ever wilderness experiences. Thank you to Janine and the rest of the management and staff.

This was the first stop of 4 in Zambia. We immediately felt at home and really enjoyed our stay. The food was excellent as was the bar! The staff were perfect both in the camp and on the river trips. The Zambezi was a lovely venue and the river trips were fantastic - even the canoe bit where my wife was very apprehensive but very quickly picked up her paddle and got stuck in. We saw crocodiles and hippos out of the water and many beautiful birds. In the Lower Zambezi Park we had some wonderful sightings - the highlight of which was a leopard retreating up a tree while 30 baboons sat on the ground making sure the leopard was out of the way for a sleep so they could settle down themselves. There was a lot of noise especially when 2 elephants joined in. We have done safaris before and this was right up there. Would go again.

What an amazing trip to Lower Zambezi! Staying at Kiambi was the perfect place. The team are so friendly from Timothy at the restaurant to Stuart on the boat for our fishing trip. We stayed in the tented chalets over looking the river which had great views and everything was clean and tidy, great value for money. We can’t wait to go back ☺️🙏🏼

Amazing trip to Kiambi this week!! Janine and her team were extremely welcoming and friendly. From waking up at 5:30 to take us fishing, to delicious cocktails and food overlooking the Zambezi - couldn’t recommend this place more for a holiday or a trip! ✨✨
