A Fantastic Stay at Holiday Inn Johor Bahru City Centre! I recently had the pleasure of staying at Holiday Inn JBCC, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Location: The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Johor Bahru, right above Komtar JBCC Mall and within walking distance to City Square Mall and the immigration checkpoint to Singapore. This made it incredibly easy to explore the city and enjoy shopping, dining, and entertainment options nearby. Rooms & Comfort: The rooms were modern, clean, and well-maintained. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. I particularly loved the large windows with a stunning city view, which added to the overall ambiance. The in-room amenities, such as a smart TV, coffee-making facilities, and a spacious bathroom, were thoughtful touches that enhanced the stay. Service & Hospitality: The staff at Holiday Inn JBCC were outstanding—friendly, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth and efficient. Special mention to the front desk and housekeeping teams for their warm hospitality and attention to detail. Dining Experience: The hotel’s restaurant served a fantastic breakfast buffet with a variety of local and international options. The quality of food was excellent, and the dining area was spacious and well-lit. The rooftop bar was another highlight, offering a great place to unwind with a drink while enjoying panoramic views of Johor Bahru. Facilities & Amenities: The hotel features a well-equipped gym, a beautiful rooftop infinity pool, and comfortable lounge areas. The pool was a great place to relax, especially in the evening with the city lights in the background. The business facilities also seemed well-suited for travelers needing workspace. Overall Experience: Holiday Inn JBCC offers a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and great service. Disappointed on the day I booked this studio & there was another cheaper studio but I chose it because I thought the studio would be special. The photos on their websites differ with what I received. The towels are smelly & wet still. Especially duo key. I mentioned them that I need car park the day before but I think they don’t really care coz no access card for me when they asked to take the house’s key in their mailbox then made me drive one round to turn back for the second at lobby to get it. I had been staying many times at R&F used to be my favourite place but honestly with another host. My strongly recommendation with Anju so please check carefully before booking

Clean and spacious. The building is newly built, so everything looks so new. Comfy and convenient place to stay with restaurants/ marts/ even rnf mall nearby. Nice sea view. Units are provided with coffee/bottle waters/netflix/fridge/washing machine etc same as description. Good service from the host ! Very responsive and clear instruction for check in. Highly recommended to all.

We are so gratefull to stay in this unit All are perfect for the facilties. Good clean apartment well maintain also, the location also very startefic and close to ciq The contact person also very helpfull, many food and cafe so we can buy food not far from apartement. My first trip at St Giles Southkey. I was greeted with smile when I check in. The service is wonderful nothing much to complain about. The room is clean and tidy, and they even surprised me with a cake on my Wedding Anniversary. Room was nicely decorated with balloons , such a warm welcome. Thank you 😊 🙏 💓 St Giles is just situated at Mid Valley Shopping Mall, so is very convenient if you want to stay at the same location for shopping and food. Breakfast wise, huge selection. I love their Nasi Lemak with Ayam Rendang. Overall, a good stay at St Giles Southkey, definitely coming back again.

Conveniently located just right opposite KSL mall, about 5-10 mins drive from CIQ. Check in was fast, requested for a high floor, near lift(as my mum had ankle issues) and non-smoking floor which was fulfilled by the front desk. View from the room was great. Room was quite spacious. Bathroom as well. All the necessary items were provided. They even had a mini magnifying mirror at the side in the bathroom for makeup purposes which I think was very user friendly for me especially when I’m putting my contact lenses. Hotel breakfast buffet had quite a variety of western and local food mixed, view was also very good. On 6th floor is a massage parlour (Thai odyssey) that has a 20% discount of massages for hotel guests only.

All good just that suite room is kinda small in size, but the living room is very spacious and toilet bowl has no leg space because the glass door for shower room is exactly next to the toilet bowl. maybe can make room bigger and reduce the size of living room and definitely leg space at toilet bowl area needs to be enlarged or replanned. The buffet spread was super delicious and variety of spread. Each n every one of the staff at different department was absolutely friendly, helpful and well mannered! Thumbs up to all and the excellent service provided.

Opero was super festively decorated for the season with welcome drink given (see pics). Closely located to midvalley south key (5mins walking distance, they also provide a free shuttle bus service on the hour from 12-8pm). Be sure to book early as the bus can only seat ~15 and you’ll be deferred to the next ride if full. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The hotel provided the usual amenities (bedroom slippers/ toothbrush etc). Liked that there was an iron and hair dryer but the dryer was attached in the toilet (not portable)!! However, complaints about the toilet as there's only a rain shower and no shower head. Also, even when at max volume and heat, water was not strong/hot enough and the shower curtain was very clearly rusty!! 😭 (refer pic). The rust doesnt come out with the water on but the dirt from the shower curtain peels off as you are showering which was gross. Further, the toilet seat was dirty with stains.

Cleanliness could stand to be improved, we found bloodstains on the sheets even after requesting a change of sheets. Location was great and near to KSL. Service was impeccable and staff was friendly, check in took some time not sure why but they handled it politely and we were comfortably seated, otherwise all was great. Amenities were better than expected even though we didn't use the facilities. We loved it for the location. All in all, a great deal for it's price!

Reasonable price for our stay. Our room could see the still-in-progress rail connection between Singapore and Johore. The Ramadan buffet dinner we joined was very good. Much variety of food choices. I think there was live music but we were seated where we could not see but only hear. The day we came on a Causeway Link bus T21 from JB Central - though only 3 stops away, but the road was jammed with traffic. So it took a while for us to arrive at the Zon stop ( Zon is a duty free shopping area mall where Berjaya Waterfront Hotel is next to it). You can also come this area to take ferry to places like Batam, ....
