The Stepwell Hotel in Jodhpur was an absolutely perfect choice in every aspect. Situated in the heart of the old city, it boasts an incredibly picturesque location, right next to the famous Toorji Ka Jhalra Stepwell. From the terrace, one can enjoy a spectacular view of the blue city and the Mehrangarh Fort, making the stay even more enchanting. The room was spacious, elegant, and equipped with every comfort, featuring an extremely comfortable bed and carefully detailed furnishings. Particularly appreciated was the impeccable daily cleanliness, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The quality of the food served in the hotel's restaurant is truly excellent: local and international dishes are prepared with the freshest ingredients, and every meal is a delight for the palate. Finally, the service was extraordinary. The entire staff was always attentive, kind, and available, ready to assist us with any need, demonstrating courtesy and professionalism. I absolutely recommend the Stepwell Hotel to anyone looking to have an unforgettable experience in Jodhpur.

It was a nightmare to stay at this property in Jodhpur. Our family holiday to Jodhpur was spoiled by the hotel. Bad unclean rooms with no maintenance, rude behaviour of staff & management. Advise not to stay at this hotel.

I went there because of the recommendation of my guidebook and a friend, who was there some years ago. The price is for India a little more advanced, but because of the good recommendations I tested this restaurant and was totally disappointed. In this price range I would expect something really delicious or really big plates. Neither was the case. The thalis and the rice dishe, which we ordered, had kid size and were not the most tasteful. We did our best using the spices available on the desk. Also the thali wasn't freshly cooked. Only kept warm in aluminum foil. Thereby I would recommend you to go to another restaurant. And have something more tasteful. Here the quality of earlier days can't be satisfied anymore. Because of this reason we continued our breakfast at another place to get sattisfied and enjoy better service and quality.

Characterful central location
In the walled old city opposite the Stepwell. very convenient for shopping, clock tower and fort(10min walk). Room clean, good WiFi, water kettle etc. room overlooked stepwell so could sit on window seat and watch life unfold. restaurant closed when I stayed which was a pity as the views were good. Breakfast was freshly cooked with good choice at sister cafe which also overlooked stepwell. Manager very helpful such as sourcing an adapter for me within minutes. He was also a very knowledgeable Liverpool FC fan. Only potential downside is noise from stepwell but I thought added to authentic experience

5 star service in a 3 star hotel
Look no further. Book this hotel! The negative reviews do not reflect in any way the experience that is offered by the new management. The staff really made the magic happened for us, they were thoughtful, kind and went above our expectations. The rooms are well decorated and super clean, the roof terrace is one of a kind and the small size of the hotel makes it feel like you are at home.
If you are confortable with the noise and action of the old city (windows are not sound proofed, but that was not a problem at all for us - you’re in India after all), this is a perfect mix of good location, relatively affordable price and high end service. We would go back in a heartbeat!

Highly recommend staying here
Wonderful stay at this newly restored historic building with a nice view of the town, especially from the roof top restaurant. Ideally located in the center of the city and next to the well preserved Stepwell.

The rooms were a total mess. Not cleaned at all, it was smelly, there was trash of previous guests lying around, bathrooms were old and no hot water available, towels weren't properly cleaned as well, ceilings also weren't in the best condition. They refused to let us pay with card even though their payment condition on *********** stated that payments via multiple types of cards was available. Cash payment wasn't mentioned at all. Our whole group got the impression of them pulling a fraud. We were supposed to stay for four nights, we then decided to check out after two nights as we wanted to avoid being involved in possible illegal activities. We paid for those two nights in cash. Now, two days after our checkout, I received an email by *********** that the accomodation told them we didn't show up at their place to check in. That is a straight lie. We have proof of everything. If you want to have a pleasant stay at Jodhpur, we wholeheartedly advice you not to stay with Stepwell House/Haveli. They are a fraud and can not be trusted!
