The Thikana Heritage

Good Service and very elegant rooms. The food was tasty. The view from the terrace is amazing true feel of jodhpur city. The connectivity is good for Blue heaven( navchokiya) and other city attractions. The rooms were clean and tidy. You can explore the real city.

From our check-in to check-out, our stay was wonderful. Manju & Vipin, the owners, are wonderful hosts and took great care of us as if we were their family. We had room #7 with a king bed and a queen bed on the mezzanine. The room was perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults & 2 kids). The decor of the heritage hotel and the rooms gives you a unique experience as if you go back 300 years when the building was built. The room has good AC, comfortable beds with a modern bathroom. The hotel is very well situated in the blue city, 2 minutes from the fortress and a 10 min walk to the step well and clock tower. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

The Thikana Heritage was a great find for us. We had booked a room in a soulless hotel and could only stand if for one night and then found Thikana and moved there. An old havelli in the heart of the blue city, it could not have had more soul. All carved stone with beautiful jalis throughout. Vipin and Manju were great hosts. Manju is a great cook. Breakfast was full of tasty surprises and evening meals were available and were so good.

Pathetic service ever:- 1.Firstly some construction work was going in the lane due to which the driver could not drop us to the hotel ideally the owner should inform us but he didn't... When we had reached the location after walking with so many luggage.. me and my friend were sweating like anything... They didn't even offer a glass of water and the owner started to explain the tour package and to mention their reception area was non ac and we kept on sweating while he explained his packages for about half an hour. 2. Next day when we returned from our day activities we found that the owner had switched off the main connection which was truly unprofessional as his ac was not functioning properly and took longer to cool the room and we had to suffer even after paying the full price with additional taxes 3. The owner gave only 1 bottle of water in 2 night stay where we had paid for 2 nights ,when asked for water he said he will give only 1 bottle of water rest is chargeable 4.The 2nd day which was our last day in jodhpur,we had taken auto for city tour and the driver which was supposed to be the hotel owner informed us while returning that we should eat dinner before going to the hotel as he cannot provide any dinner also we cannot carry outside food to the hotel as the owner is pure veg (Jain) and will not allow outside food. It was only 8pm and we were forced to eat outside when we are accustomed with eating dinner after 10pm. This hotel felt like one kind of boarding school/ hostel which was the worst experience ever . 5. The room was so tiny with two bed that we could hardly move around and my friend got hurt while moving in and out *In short if you are in Jodhpur please avoid Thikana heritage... It will give you the worst experience ever.* I gave the same review on *********** and the owner personally texted me on WhatsApp and tried to threaten me.This was so rude. A customer wants to give a genuine review and they do this kind of thing.

A completely different accommodation experience, such an amazing gothic style building. The owners were so helpful and ensured you had everything you needed. The rooms were so clean compared to anywhere else we had stayed. Such a good location too, away from the chaos of the main street but within easy reach of it. Would definitely stay again if we were in Jodhpur.

When we arrive to check in, our room has been given to someone else (we're not the first people this has happened to). They didn't see our reservation, but put the blame on us for not checking in far enough in advance. To compensate, they « upgrade » and give us what they call a "better room"... We soon realize that all the rooms don’t correspond to the misleading advertisements. In fact, they are much smaller, very dark and not at all worth the price. We could no longer cancel our reservation. After visiting the reception desk, we are promised a large room the next day - a rather nice gesture on the part of the hosts. However, we got up on purpose the next day, packed all our bags and when we arrived at reception, we no longer had the right to this room. They've lied to us. In short, this is a very poor value for money compared with all the hotels we've stayed at so far. For the same price, you can get a hotel with a pool not far from the center or at least with some day light. The rooms are not pleasant. The manager was rude, unpleasant and unprofessional.
