The Arch Boutique Home Stay

We stayed at the arch for three nights and had a very pleasant stay. Each room is unique and the entire property is filled with unusual items from carved statuettes to old tinted photographs. Sam was very helpful on arrival and gave us a great overview of the area as well as suggestions for activities, food and shopping. Sam was also able to arrange for a car to take us to Udaipur so if you need to make onward travel arrangements be sure to let him know. The staff were very attentive and helpful with the bags and other matters. At the ground floor cafe is open from 8:30 and we ate there every day. They have a good range of breakfast foods, snack and bigger meals, they also accept card payments. There are lots of good places to eat around the hotel, we ate at Indique, 360 Stepwell, Stepwell Cafe all of which I would recommend but they are at the higher end of the price scale. The hotel does have roof terrace where you can eat dinner in the evening with a view of the fort but we felt that this was one area which could be improved as compared to the other options available nearby, the hotel terrace lacks ambience but is perfectly fine if you don’t want to venture out. The hotel can also exchange money if required. If arriving by car be aware that the streets around the hotel are very narrow so you may have to walk or take a tuk-tuk from the clock-tower market.

A unique and beautiful stay in the heart of Jodhpur. We were made so welcome, Mayank gave us a 5-star walking tour of the city which made our trip special. The walking tour was one of our top life experiences! Mayank took us around the best places and we tried wonderful sweets!

Truly authentic special place that provides western comfort in an amazing setting. Sam the owner is most helpful and you are right in the midst of the old town, directly next to the stepwell. Sam organized a wonderful heritage tour for us and the cafe was great for breakfast and dinner.

Very nice little 'hotel', with spacious rooms & good beds. The day-café downstairs serves excellent breakfast. Location was perfect, next to a beautiful stepwell, close to a lot of shops/bazaar and convenient to walk up to the fort. Management was very helpful, they gave us a golden tip to have shirts tailor made (Saleraj). The shop of Stepwell House Hotel is also worth a visit, beautiful qualtity items.

One of our favorite hotels while in India. Great service, best location for Jodhpur, charming rooms, very intimate and colorful. We loved it and their Sam's cafe where we ate all our meals. Highly recommended! Do not miss if it is available!

Excellent location, right next to the stepwell and within walking distance to all major attractions such as the clock tower, fort and blue city. Nice cafes nearby including its own Sam’s cafe which had lovely coffee and some of the best aloo parathas we’ve had in India, though the dinner there was not as good. Rooms were clean and had good hot shower, though it being a wet room means everything gets wet (though this is quite common in India). Comfy bed and lovely owner who gave us some good tips. Soundproofing not great and we could hear both the outside and inside (though again we have noticed this is very common in India).
