Panorama Jindabyne

We stayed here in the 1brm unit with our two small children and had a great time. Very clean, good food, friendly and helpful staff, stunning views from the lounge and restaurant over Lake Jindabyne and nicely heated in winter. The lounge is not licensed so it was nice to bring our own bottle of wine, sit by the fire in this beautiful room and relax. Great price and great find. We will be back.

We chose this hotel based on price, location and past reviews. If you’re looking for modern luxury this is not it however, the staff were friendly and helpful and the room was warm, comfortable and well appointed. We didn’t have any meals here but did enjoy pre-dinner drinks in the lounge in front of a warm fire while overlooking the stunning views of the lake.

Panorama Jindabyne was a great place to stay in a quiet area of the town. The view from the dining room was magnificent and the log fire was lovely sit next to in the evening. The check in person was extremely helpful and took the time to show us two rooms to choose from. Although more pricey than usual, we were happy to pay, as two other motels we tried to book in to didn’t have Managers/ check-in staff onsite (late afternoon) to assist us with our walk-in booking.

I have stayed here before. About 4 years back. Found it underwhelming then. This time I opted for a superior room. There was nothing superior about the room. It was extremely dated, musty smelling and in need of substantial refurbishment. I gather the superior feature of room was the fold up bunks packed in on wall. Everything was tacky about my experience from first telephone contact. After giving details including card some weeks in advance receive email confirming not just your booking but fact your card has been charged and the payment is non refundable. Told of safe covid practice on booking in. Envelope with your details would be left on front desk. Actually it was better than that as reception was sort of manned so you had the opportunity to fill in a form with all those details you gave when booking in and confirmed by email. And yes they took your credit card details again. Complementary wifi does not work in room but will work if you strategically position yourself in restaurant area. Was informed a complementary continental breakfast was available. I looked at the mean offering before going downtown to eat in an excellent cafe. I would not have gone to trouble of writing a review had I not received a computer generated email headed “ Have you left something behind ?” Designed to get your attention. Nothing left behind but an attempt to apologise for staff shortages etc and stressing importance of a 10 out of 10 review. Insulting. I gave place one star as the view from the balcony outside was outstanding. I won’t be back.

As a summer location in Jindabyne this was an excellent choice! With sweeping views over the lake and a great continental breakfast my wife and I were lacking for nothing. Friendly management and clean rooms means we have nothing but compliments. Will definitely stay there again.

Fantastic views great facilities rooms are wonderful cannot recommend it enough. Paddock full off kangaroo’s next door at dusk and great location overlooking the Lake will definitely be back thank you.
