Ulasan Xitang Lightyear Hotel

The initial courtyard room was not satisfactory as it was noisy. However, upon feedback, Ms Cai was proactive in quickly moving us to another room that was nice. Reception by the two ladies was friendly. Service by Ms Cai was especially warm. She also helped with my luggage after checkout and accompanied us to our car at Xitang’s gate. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is located in a convenient and accessible location, just slightly away (a short walk) from the main thoroughfare so it was peaceful. We will not hesitate to stay here again :)

Very nice hotel... well located, inside the walls of the histroic water town, but in a quiet part, away from the hustle of the crowded streets. Room was clean and easily large enough.. with good lighting and private toilet/shower, and daily room service. The buffet breakfast, included in the room price was very good. I speak no mandarin; so I had to communicate with the reception/front desk staff using translate on phones. The front desk staff were wonderful... cheerful, helpful. They went to great lenghts to explain to me how to obtain and buis ticket to Shanghai, where to catch the bus and so on... also the same staff were extremely helpful with day to day questions. The only strange or negative thing is that when shown the room, it looks wonderful as it includes a small private verandah with table and chair. However, there is a fixed wire screen preventing the inhabitant from accessing the room's verandah... kind of strange and certainly a negative

I took my parents to Xitang Ancient Town to see the Jiangnan Water Village. I booked the Liji Twin Room of this hotel half a month in advance. It was rated as the best B&B hotel in Xitang. The overall decoration is very garden-like. It was already evening when I checked in. The front desk lady was very friendly and helped to upgrade the twin room with balcony on the second floor. The overall facilities are very new, the hotel is very large, the breakfast buffet is also very rich, and it is very close to the North Gate. The day before the trip, they called to remind me that if I arrived before five o'clock, I had to buy tickets. A good travel experience.

The environment is great. Each small courtyard has a small lawn. The weather is so warm, there are no bugs or odors on the first floor, and there are even disinfectant tissues in the toilet. The north gate of the ancient town is just outside, so it is convenient to get takeout. The lady at the front desk is wearing Hanfu, which matches the overall environment very well. There is a green area facing the breakfast area, which is very pleasing to the eye. Except for the restaurant, the dog can explore freely in other places. You can park right in front of the gate. In short, everything is very convenient. It feels good after a day of rushing.

This hotel is full of Jiangnan charm, the hotel staff is warm and friendly, and the design is very good. From the moment you step into the hotel, you can feel the strong ancient charm and elegant atmosphere, which complements the Xitang scenic spot. For this reason, I searched for the Light Year Hotel, but unfortunately it seems that there is only a second one in Shangri-La - it is said that it adopts ******* cultural design - I plan to book Light Year next time I go to Shangri-La... Because the scenic spot has a height limit, the hotel is only three stories high, but it is equipped with an elevator, which provides great convenience, especially for guests with limited mobility like us. In addition, the hotel's parking lot is very convenient and very suitable for self-driving.
