This place is amazing! Rooms are especially spacious and clean, and even a little table to pour your own tea. Rooms are vintage style but have modern amenities. Faces a very beautiful courtyard. The owners only speak Mandarin, but they always do their best to help (Helped me how to get to shibaoshan). The home cooked breakfast is also a very nice touch Recommend anyone to stay here.

The place was absolutely lovely! The garden at the entrance was beautiful, and the room was fantastic. The staff treated us so well and even provided fresh fruit and tea. The amenities were great, with air conditioning, a hair dryer, and a clean, modern bathroom with electronic features. The manager was incredibly kind and genuinely happy when he found out I could speak Chinese. Our stay was peaceful, and the location was perfect—just a 10-minute walk to the ancient town. I would absolutely stay there again if I had the chance. Keep in mind, though, that the staff doesn’t speak English, so it’s helpful to have a phone with internet access for translation when you check in. Remember to always present your passport and visa. If your country has visa-free agreements, you may need to explain that a visa isn’t required for you.

As soon as you enter, the architecture is strikes you. Its traditional classy Chinese, but homey. The courtyard is gorgeous with a beautiful pomegrante tree to one side, and a fish pind to the other. You can chill out at some guest tables or swing benches while you wait or plan for your day. The rooms are clean and well done. Also Chinese, but modernized. The doors are locked with an old style lock and key which gives it a unqiue old timey feel. The bathrooms are particularly well done with modern western toilets (with bidets if you're into that), and large showers. Id recommend trying the complimentary tea. Ours smelled of chocolate, but had a mild taste. The service is excellent, especially if you speak Chinese, though if not theyre still very friendly. The owner helped us out with a misunderstanding with a local restaurant, and even gave us a free bottle of his local liquor to try. The breakfast is quite good, if you like Chinese style of breakfasts. Youtiao, buckwheat pancakes, hard boiled or fried eggs, and very good local rice noodle soup. The location is very convenient as we drove there and its right off a main road. They also have parking if you check and ask. A unique and luxurious experience without breaking the bank. I will definitley come back as I really liked the small tourist village feel of shaxi, and this homestay was excellent.

My parents and daughter enjoyed the stay here!! The boss is very friendly and helpful! The breakfast was very delicious! Will definitely stay here again if I were to visit Shaxi!

We loved staying at this place. It's a peaceful courtyard hotel a 10 minute walk away from the main square. The room was enormous and very comfortable. The breakfast offered by the hotel was great. The owners helped us organise a transfer to Dali after our stay. We wished we could have stayed longer.

We enjoyed our stay at this homestay. The host was very attentive, the homestay was clean and quiet, located within walking distance from the old town. We loved the different type of breakfasts prepared by the host each morning specially the fresh milk and the noodle soup. Will be returning to this location when we are visiting the area and we definitely recommend this homestay to others.

I originally booked for only 2 days, thinking that if I was not satisfied, I would change to another one. The result was unexpectedly good, and I renewed it for two days. I must come again in summer! Because the homestay has only 7 rooms, it will not be too noisy even if it is full! The location is not in the ancient town, but it is very convenient to go anywhere, because the ancient town itself is not too big, and you can basically reach it by foot! If I hadn't made other arrangements, I could have laid on the tatami for a whole day. This room alone was great value, the boss sent me fruit, provided all kinds of thoughtful services, and even turned on the floor heating in advance, which was really nice.

When the sun shines through the green shade, it is very suitable for a leisurely afternoon. The furnishings in the room are very attentive, with air conditioning, electric heaters, electric blankets, and heating facilities. The service of the homestay is also very thoughtful. The boss is warm and hospitable, and super fresh fruits are sent in the afternoon. Auntie will prepare breakfast for us early, and fried dough sticks, fresh milk and rice noodles are all recommended. Guixinju enriched our trip in Shaxi. We were lucky to meet the morning fog this time. Next time we have a holiday, we must stay here for a while!

A quiet, clean little yard with fish, flowers, hot breakfast, and a quiet place. The duplex room we stayed in was very suitable for the whole family. The shower water pressure was strong enough, the air conditioning and floor heating were warm, and both adults and children were very satisfied. I will come again if I have the chance!

The location is on the edge of the ancient town, next to the county road, which is very convenient for self-driving. It is also convenient to walk to the center of the ancient town in a few minutes. The breakfast at the B&B is delicious. I really like the soft-boiled eggs, rice noodles, and fragrant milk made by the proprietress. The boss is also very enthusiastic and helpful.
