Hotel Christian

This is the place to stay if you want some peace & quiet close to Venice! Lovely little beach town :) Very affordable & accessible for people looking to avoid the crowds of Venice. Hotel Christian is a nice option & close to beach.

An honest review ; More like a hostel than a hotel. Cheap but not cheerful at all. We paid around £40 a night so it was low cost but still a waste of money and a holiday. Wish we’d paid more and stayed elsewhere. Most facilities closed ; pool, restaurant, roof terrace. The bar was ‘open’ but you couldn’t actually sit in the bar only on the outside terrace which was too cold or in a very dated looking inside room with no windows, just really unwelcoming. Coach loads of teens arrived every night at around 7pm and ran around the hotel, corridors and shouted off the balconies until 10.30pm (must have been their curfew). Woken up every morning at 6,30-7am by teens dragging their suitcases down the stairs !! The area is pretty much closed down for winter, we only found 3/4 bars and restaurants open to eat in. There were no loungers or chairs on the beach either as these are not put out until late may/June. The hotel said this is out of their control by why advertise facilities that are not there? Staff are lovely and really try to be helpful but the hotel is tired and a throw back to the 1970s. Tv is tiny and so high up on the wall it was hard to see it ! Not that we want to watch much TV but as the weather was so bad it would have passed some time. Breakfast was the same 4 cold items. One plate of bread rolls, one of plain croissants, one sliced cheese and one sliced ham. There was a hot drinks machine and orange juice (watered down mix in a machine). We were offered yoghurts too. Odd bits of jam portions and biscuits but nothing changed each day and nothing hot. The most basic breakfast we’d ever had and didn’t bother going down after day 3. Shower is honestly so small I could barely fit through the doors (womens UK size 16-18). It was a squeeze once in too to turn around or wash your hair. The shower was rusty and just old looking. Plenty of hot water though ! Towels were a good size and replaced daily. Balcony with 2 plastic chairs dated and rusty. Beds are like sleeping on rock , staff did try to help by giving us squares of foam to place under the sheet but made little difference. There is only one socket in the room which is in the bathroom if you unplug the hairdryer. Holiday was just awful. They offered a free week in Sept but we wouldn’t return even for free.

Non capisco come possa un hotel del genere avere 3 stelle , quando non ne meriterebbe neanche una. Camera bruttina, bagno orrendo che oltre la puzza di fogna ha dei sanitari molto datati, avevo schifo addirittura a toccare il rubinetto del lavandino, il water non parliamone. Di notte impossibile riposare perché c’è gente incivile che fa chiasso a qualsiasi ora oltre che saltare ed urlare ed i titolari non riescono a farli calmare. Tavoli senza numero, ci si siede dove capita tra le lunghe tavolate in mezzo a gente che non vuoi vicino. Colazione pessima. Pessima esperienza, non merita proprio di rimanere aperto questo posto.

Abbiamo prenotato dal 17-22 settembre con la mia famiglia . Personale poco gentile . Mangiare fa schifo entrambe colazione e cena . Cose congelate. Colazione ogni giorno la stessa cosa . Nei ultimi giorni nn avevamo neanche la voglia di fare colazione . Pulizia abbastanza bene l’unica cosa che abbiamo dimenticato delle cose nella stanza ma purtroppo ci hanno fregato. Dicendoci che loro nn hanno trovato niente ma noi siamo sicuri di aver lasciato lì . Quindi state molto attenti. Stanza troppo piccola per nn parlare del bagno …

Abbiamo prenotato per 3 notti una quadrupla per stare con 4 adulti e un 1 bambino, ci hanno dato una camera che nemmeno in 2 ci stavi!! SPORCA, PUZZAVA ! Colazione pessima! Avevo schifo a mangiare in quel posto visto l ambiente sporco che c’era! Moquette per tutto l hotel sporchissimo! Il giorno dopo siamo andati via! Abbiamo cercato un altro hotel ! E ci hanno fatto pagare anche la seconda notte come mora per annullamento del soggiorno!! ci abbiamo perso soldi pur di scappare da lì!! DA EVITARE! Soprattutto con bambini! Chiederò il rimborso!

Hotel molto silenzioso,letto comodissimo,il personale gentilissimo,abbiamo avuto un problema con la macchina e sono stati pronti a risolverlo al momento...lo consiglio assolutamente...colazione buona,anche al ristorante si mangia bene,per noi è stato tutto perfetto Pamela
