Hotel Soho Boutique Jerez

We’ve now stayed at Hotel Soho Boutique Jerez twice, once during Semana Santa and again in mid-June. Both visits have been excellent. Our first stay was in one of the unique bodega rooms. It was beautifully designed and felt really special, a touch dark, perhaps, so some updated lighting would be a bonus, but it didn’t take away from the experience. On our second visit, we stayed in the main hotel building. The room was just as lovely as the previous room. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which was essential during the 36°C heat! The safe is also free, and the room has a mini bar and tea/coffee facilities in the room. Breakfast was okay overall. I didn’t love the pod coffee (just a personal preference), but there was a decent selection of cold meats, cheeses, fruit, bread, and a few hot items. On our second stay, we opted for room only and went out for breakfast instead. The location is fantastic, just a flat 10-minute walk to the town centre. On-site parking is convenient (garage or outdoor options), and while it isn’t free, that’s to be expected. We had no trouble finding a spot. There’s a small overground pool with sunbeds. We didn’t use it, but it looked very inviting. This isn’t a “pool holiday” kind of hotel, but it would be a great place to cool off after a day exploring Jerez, something I might try next time! Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel. It’s in a great location, offers comfort and cleanliness, and has a touch of character that makes it memorable. We love Jerez, and for a city break, this is the perfect base. We’ll be back!

Excellent in every way; location, services, cleanliness, quality of room, breakfast, value for money. My go to hotel when visiting Jerez de la Frontera. Curiously, I am told this building previously formed part of the Bodega Williams & Humbert.

The room is large, the facilites at the hotel are extremely poor it took us over 20 minutes to check in, there is no help with luggage. We complained to the receptionist about the long wait and she said that they have staffing problems and management although aware of it have no plans to do anything about it. We were told that the cafetería sold snacks however, on 31/12 it would close at midday therefore if you want a drink new years eve you have to make alternativo arrangements because you’re not going to get it here! Words fail me.

This is an average hotel in a charmless part of Jerez 20 minutes walk from the old town. Service, breakfast and rooms are ok. I was particularly annoyed, having booked this hotel months in advance because it had a pool, to be advised 3 days before arrival (and just after the final non-refundable payment was charged) that the pool was ‘not operational’. When complained about not having been told of this, I was advised that they told me ‘as soon as we knew’. This was a lie, as I arrived at the hotel to find a huge construction site on the spot where the pool had been. It had clearly been dug up months before. Deceptive and unacceptable.

I was doing a driving trip of southern Spain and didn't know where I would end up the night I stayed at the Soho. The main attractions in town are the Royal Andalusian Horse Show and Sherry tours. I arrived just in time to catch the Show and searched online for hotels during the admission. The Soho was reasonably priced, walking distance from the Show and got decent reviews so I went for it. Boy, what a pleasant surprise. The room was large, tastefully decorated, nice bath, very comfortable bed, spotless and they even put chocolates on the pillow. I imagine this place goes for quite a bit more in high season, but in early October it was a bargain. I also lucked out, because I got the last remaining parking spot in their private lot. I think they only have 10 spaces. As it turned out there were some interesting sites within a reasonable walk and plenty of restaurants nearby. Would definitely stay there again.
