We had a lovely time came 18th Dec for a week very friendly staff nice heated pool really enjoyed the food if you eat fish you will love it nice big clean rooms close to shops and beach and restraunts if you want to go out for a meal water park was great for the kids although wasnt open the whole we was there i was worried with reading bad reviews but glad i came would definitely come back loved it

Absolutely the most disgusting and worst hotel we have ever stayed in, not even worthy of 1star rating let alone 5. Requested a disabled room with easy access to lifts, not accommodating sent us to the furthest point away from reception with no easy access, ended up taking the car to near the room and 3 flights of stairs with our cases. No offer of help. Room poorly maintained with rusty bath with holes you can put your fingers through, light switch hanging off wall with bare cables, massive part of bathroom door missing, patio doors not fully lockable, stained mattress and generally not clean. Food is disgusting, on fully inclusive but now eating out, tried breakfast one morning and found mouldy bread. Dinner selection was atrocious, on the menu was veal liver, goat stew, pigs trotters, one guy ladled out a bowl of soup tasted it then tipped it back into the terrine, kids running riot around the dessert section hands in the selection. The entertainment was awful, kids trying hard with ridiculous quizzes, rubbish magicians and acrobat acts, no music whatsoever. The main pool area was closed with noisy workers. Outside areas never clean . This hotel needs to be closed right now, upgraded, staff retraining and the hotel Director dismissed for being allowed to manage such an awful hotel.

Went for 10 days 24 August got back on3rd. Had a great time. Arrived late due to plane delay at 2 am they opened restaurant so we could eat which was great. Rooms were spacious and great reception helpful pools great. They even let our highly autistic son who would not leave room have food taken to his room. Maybe a description or note on the hill leading up to the hotel bottom part is steep but either scooters or taxi gets you up well enough. The photo shoot offered by hotel is absolute must and the town is accessible by local bus which comes outside the hotel. Lift opposite the main building continuously broke but that’s a minor moan. Food was nice and plenty of options and some in the party are particularly fussy.

We visited Occidental Jandia Mar with a large family group between Christmas and New Years (30th December - 6th January 2025) and were left very disappointed with the standards of this hotel. We arrived at the hotel at 9pm on the Monday and as you can imagine we were all very tired from travelling all day and were hoping to get into our rooms and relax for the evening. However, we encountered various issues with our rooms and booking. Firstly, we found we were all dotted around this very large complex even though we were all on the same booking. To add to this my partner and I were travelling with our four month old baby and had requested a room with a cot, which we hadn’t received. We also needed a kettle in our room to make our daughters milk during the night. So we ended up having to spend a large chunk of our evening arranging for a cot and discussing getting a kettle for the room. The worst part of this was the reception staff who were so rude and unhelpful. They were making comments under their breath and speaking in Spanish, which I’m sure was so we couldn’t understand what they were saying. They said we couldn’t have a kettle until tomorrow and that I could use there microwave in the night, which wasn’t ideal. To add to this the reception staff refused to give us our premium wristbands for 2 days even though we had evidence we had paid for it. Even though, this wasn’t the start to the holiday we wanted we didn’t want it to ruin our time, so woke up hoping for things to improve. The food in the buffet wasn’t great and was cold a lot of the time. Although, the food on New Years Eve was really nice and the staff in the restaurant were lovely. The hotel seemed to be lacking staff as we had to wait in very long queue for drinks. Speaking with other guests, the staff also tried to start charging guests for drinks on New Years Eve, which is ridiculous as it’s an all inclusive. The most worrying thing about this hotel was the colour of the water coming out of the taps in our room. When running my daughter a bath I noticed the water was a disgusting yellow colour, please see picture attached. The staff tried to say it was the laundry detergent, which is rubbish as it left a dirty stain around the rim of bath. Speaking with our neighbours they were trying to move people to other rooms, whilst also asking them to sign a non disclosure agreement, to try and stop them from mentioning this to other guests. I had been sterilising my daughters bottled in this water for a few days, which I think led her to having an upset stomach. Both my partner and me also got ill from what we think was from the water in the hotel. This hotel needs a lot of improvement, especially in the customer service department. I will say this hotel has a lot of good entertainment for young families. However, I wouldn’t recommend staying at until they have addressed the above issues.

Big no no if you have coiliac disease. Told you had to order your food from a very small gf menu of pasta and pizza, who wants to eat that all week unless your 8 years old. I ordered a meal for the first night but when i got to the restaurant no one knew anything about it Tried to pre order for other days but no organisation sent to restaurant to sort,then back to reception gave up in the end and lived on salad ( hardly any choice) and gluten free burgers from the burger king down the hill.Just give us a printed off menu to look at ourselves and order from, why make it so hard !!!! no gluten free items in snack bar at all. I had to take in my own biscuits i brought from the supermarket for my breakfast. Husbands food from buffet was same stuff most days and luke warm, bacon hardy cooked. Not many tables for 2 in the restaurant so always walking around looking for one, not enough wine glasses looking around for those. Big queue at bar in evenings mostly only one servings while a manager walking around on his phone. Nice hotel just a shame its under staffed and no organisation. Room was nice and big though a bit old-fashioned. House keeping where about the best thing ,did a great job of keeping room clean

I was very sceptical before my holiday after reading the reviews. I don’t normally do all inclusive holidays! I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was clean and organised. The staff were friendly enough and rooms yes they were dated we had a broken light and curtain but nothing life threatening and for the price we paid I wouldn’t have expected perfection. The food was ok again for the price it was edible both in the restaurant and pool bar. No limitation on life creams which was great. Drink was good and bottles of wine in the evening which was lovely. My only fault was that the dinner hall was a big disorganised with regards to the layout of foods which created queues and backlogs it seems they hadn’t thought out the food layout. Maybe needs a re think. Entertainment. Was amazing for My daughter who is 6 and she had the best holiday ever. The facilities for children were fantastic the entertainment team were by far the best going over and above themselves to a look after the children. One entertainer was Isabelle. My daughter and all the other children were in awe of her. Her enthusiasm and passion was amazing. She made my daughter’s holiday. They did discos every night and during the day so much thought into the activities which was great. The water park was a bonus. Kids loved it including the foam party. Could do with more beds around this area though as stopped me going there more as I didn’t want to sit in a deckchair whilst my daughter played. Towels provided by the hotel. Would be nice not to have to pay to change them maybe you should be allowed to change them even once for free not a charge. We took the bus to the beach which h was good service and amazing beach so clean and beautiful. Overall I would go again for my daughter to this hotel. The location is quite restricted if you like to venture out int he evening especially with young children.
