Hotel Stari Grad

Wonderful hotel in the heart of the old town and close to the waterfalls and castle. Very spacious room with good facilities. This stay was made special by the wonderfully friendly staff including Kerima and Dino. We ate dinner in the evening and we would definitely recommend the food, which was amazing and it was great chatting with Kerima too. We really enjoyed breakfast as well and our chat with Dino. thanks for a great experience.

I stayed here as a solo traveller in 2023. This hotel was recommended by my guide book, and it looks like it is one of only hotels actually located within Old Town. As a result, the location is excellent. The hotel has a very nice rustic old charm to it (although my understanding is that it is not an old hotel). Many reviews commented on the small rooms, and that is true, however there is ample storage space in the closet. Breakfast is included with your stay, and I felt that it was on par with other 3-star hotels I stayed in in Bosnia and Herzegovina (boiled egg, yoghurt, bread, pastries, cold cut meat, cheese, etc.). What really made the stay excellent was the hotel staff (specifically Dino). I can tell Dino tries to create a hostel-type vibe by making the common area inviting.

the city/village of Jacje is nice - lots of waterfalls - nice surrounding. We thought its a good idea staying in the middle of the little town. Yes they offer free parking - but just 3 places (and more for smallish cars). The rooms are very small - if you share a doubleroom you would be not able to get your luggage in as well. The restaurant still allows smoking - and you have the feeling also that people still smoke in the rooms. Breakfast was shockingly bad I have to say. Wifi worked - Receptionist at check-in was funny and spoke very well english

We have spent one night and we would definitely remember it as a wonderful place being relaxed quiet and peaceful. the Hotel is well located close to the city entrance and close to all amenities. it is warm and cosy . The room was not very spacious but enough wit en-suite facilities.
