My friends and I came from the US. This was our first experience at a desert camp. I was worried about the facilities, particularly the bathrooms and the tent. We were blown away by the cleanliness, the spaciousness and the general standard of the facilities at the Desert Drop Resort! We joked among ourselves that this is what 'glamping' must feel like. Three of us shared a tent. It was huge, beautiful and clean. Considering there was sand all around us, this tent and the other facilities of this Resort were spotless compared to some hotels we later experienced. Those felt more dusty and less clean than this facility. We had 17 year old Salim who took care of us. And, he was an absolute delight. He took great care of us, made sure we felt comfortable and had everything we needed. In the picture, Salim is the young *** in the red t-shirt and Aslam has a baseball cap on. The camel ride and sunset over the sand dunes were something to remember The evening snacks were fun and the entertainment was very engaging. We (a lot of the guests) ended up dancing around the fire before going for dinner to end the evening. The food was vegetarian and the young staff taught us about Rajasthan's favourite dishes - dal, bati, churma - and how to eat them! The staff was very attentive and hospitable. We ended up feeling like we were leaving family behind when we checked out the next day. Throughout our time there, we felt safe, cared for and happy. And, our driver was also easily able to find a place to stay the night right near us. It was a memorable experience for us. Thank you Desert Drop Resort staff!!
