Goss Lake is a community-run lake that is great for swimming, kayaking/canoeing, fishing, and more. Built with logs harvested from family property, the Log Castle is a warm and welcoming haven for your family and friends. Its eclectic design, stunning water views from most rooms, and beachfront location make it an ideal home base for your vacation. Enjoy the beach, with a wide sandbar, 2 small (kid) and 2 adult size kayaks for paddling, a raft for swimming, and miles of low-populated beach. If your timing is good, you can even watch whales surfacing in the bay just off the deck. The kitchen has been renovated, with stainless appliances, granite counter top, and a 180 degree water view. The large fireplace in the living room makes for a comfortable and cozy retreat. Miles of walking trails extend through the woods across the road. The charming village of Langley is a mile and a half away - a five minute drive or a walk along the beach - with shops, galleries, restaurants, and more. One highlight of the Log Castle is that the kitchen and two bedrooms are each in the eight-sided tower - try not to argue over who gets the top tower room with its phenomenal views. Fishing and swimming (especially when the tide has come in over a sunny sandbar) - make for wonderful family memories.
