The resort is beautiful, and so is the sleepy town. They offer plenty of activities to keep you busy. The service, however, was terrible and impacted the experience significantly. We stayed in a suite and couldn’t even get clean towels. We waited 30 minutes to pay a tab at the pool because the waiter was only serving a local family who wasn’t staying at the resort. Booked a 90 minute massage and only got 60 minutes.

Front entrance was overgrown with flowers. Entrance needs to be repaved. carpet on the second-floor hallways needs to be replaced. Lots of turn over. many employees stated they were new. Check in on Sunday evening was a little chaotic They appeared new. The attire for dinner was to casual. For the cost of the food and service it should be more formal, no shorts, not tee shirts,

My wife and I stayed for two nights just to get away. We loved the views, the amenities, and how clean and updated the resort was. Having plenty of complimentary activities was refreshing, as it seems most places now try to nickel and dime you every chance they get. Cannot wait to come back!

This is a first class resort with first class staff. It is great for young and old and is fun for families. The marina is excellent. The food is excellent. Carters Creek is beautiful.

Have been going to the Tides Inn for over 50 years and have seen its ups and downs. Currently on an upswing and would recommend.

I stayed with a group of boaters at the marina. Property is beautiful. Activities are fun. Food was very good but small portions at the Salt and Meadow.

First-time guests....wonderful visit, special, unique. Staff personable, friendly, welcoming......treat you as though they are glad you're there, and in their different roles, work to ensure you are comfortable, cared for, and engaged.

Thought the survey covered everything........ Your resort is lovely but I do question your room prices.

The rooms were small and overpriced. We asked for a rollaway bed for one of our three kids when we booked two adjoining rooms. When we arrived there was no rollaway bed. After hours of waiting, they told us it was a fire hazard and offered us blankets for our child to sleep on. I would have brought a sleeping bag had I known the rollaway bed wouldn't be an option. They weren't very apologetic. The rooms were clean and updated. The servers at restaurants were great. The food was good not great.

The absolute best mini-moon for my husband and I, with such a quick drive from Richmond, we will absolutely be back! We loved everything about the slow lifestyle on the river, super accommodating staff, plenty of optional activities but no need to make any real timed plans. We leisurely strolled the shoreline, kayaked, sipped cocktails by the pool, and got dressed up for a classy dinner. We loved the complimentary bikes to explore the quaint town, and had breakfast and coffee outside at The Local both days. It felt impossibly to come back home to reality!

A great facility with many amenities and extra curricular activities available, many complimentary. Staff was extremely friendly! Great views throughout the facility, inside and out. Very relaxing.

Wonderful stay at a first class resort. My wife and I will be sure to return in the future. The food was very good and the restaurant was very comfortable.

Would recommend Tides Inn for a great get away. Beautiful views, great food and polite staff. Helped with directions to other events we attended.

Beautiful setting and grounds, excellent employees, my dogs loved their amenities, room was beautiful but no water pressure or hot water in shower, one dinner was disappointing, excellent spa experience
