Mare Monte

This place is pretty awful. The host says she is new and knows nothing about hospitality. It shows. Dreary rooms, old faded cracked pictures on the walls, very poor quality mattresses and pillows, dirty sunloungers round what could be a nice pool. The worst of Greek showers. Very old fridges with broken freezer compartments. Doesn't look like it has had new decor since the 1970s.

We arrived early at Mare Monte, they let us keep our things there before check in and right off the bat we felt like family. The location is amazing, you couldn’t be closer to the beach food or drinks! And Kat always had the best recommendations for dinners and drinks! It was a fabulous experience! The flowers were also in bloom which made it that much more magical!

The room when we got there was really dirty and we had to clean it on our owns. The hosts were really rude. When we told her than the room was dirty at the first place she denied it and started screaming to us. The bathroom was old and a lot of staff was broken. They did not kept the original agreement about the rooms and the space.Also the water was really cold.

Although the hotel is a beautiful location , the people who take care of it are disrespectful” and do not respect privacy.One of the hostess entered our room without knocking first while two of us where showering, she also proceeded on entering the other group's room to take pictures of the mess they had made (not damage but their stuff was all over their place) whilst they were sleeping. Furthermore we respected the silent hours given by the rules which stated you need to be quiet from 12-7am. During those hours we were not even at the hotel however they did not believe that we were not the ones making noice . To continue they used slurs towards us telling us to "shut the **** up" , that we are children and to go to our rooms , we are adults and we were responsible and respected the rules.The hotel had no working airco, shower door was broken , we were cussed out for asking beach towels and yelled up for quietly sitting at our porch. Lastly although the description said there was breakfast, the ladies proceeded on telling us it’s not for us even though we already payed for it.Overall a horrible experience I DO NOT recommend this hotel , we have 20 people who would agree with us. There are so many other beautiful hotels with actual decency towards its clients, I brought my friends here as a way to show them the beauties of greece, and they ended up having the worst possible experience. Do not go to this hotel , For further evidence if needed i have a video of the hostesst screaming at 3am to anothe group.
