Crystal Waters

Room had more of a partial ocean view. The pool for the room was freezing cold, couldn’t even use it. Breakfast is all self serve, including coffee. Parking is a nightmare. Lots of families and young children. I would stay someplace else if I were to ever visit Lefkada again.

While the amenities and aesthetics of this resort look inviting, the customer experience is extremely poor. Upon checking into our room, we found that it hadn’t even been made with the previous occupant’s sheets, towel and rubbish still everywhere. On our last day, housekeeping rang the doorbell and came in at 9.50am without us opening the door for them, even though the Do Not Disturb sign was on. This was a gross invasion of privacy and disturbing to know that they are just walking into rooms uninvited. They wanted to begin turning over the room even though we had not checked out, and still had until 11am to do so. Not one apology or acknowledgment from anyone on front desk for these incidents. Definitely an instagram vs. reality resort, with money better spent elsewhere.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was extremely courteous and friendly, which made our visit particularly pleasant. All our wishes were fulfilled quickly and without any hassle. The rooms are very modern and equipped with everything you need. We were impressed by the high quality of the furnishings and the cleanliness. The dining options are top-notch. The food was always of the highest standard, both in taste and presentation. The hotel facilities are also excellently maintained. The gardens, loungers, and pools are in pristine condition and invite you to relax. While there is no direct access to the sea, the hotel offers plenty of free parking, allowing you to reach the island’s most beautiful beaches in just a few minutes. We can highly recommend this hotel and are already looking forward to our next stay.

Wonderful resort! My family and I had a blast and our one-year old son loved the staff. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Great service, great view, great amenities (rooms, pools, kids club), great breakfast, close to some tavernas. We’ll definitely come back!!

Crystal Waters is a hidden paradise! The attention to detail in each aspect of the experience truly sets it apart! The luxurious and clean accommodations, serene surroundings, and attentive staff (from the reception desk to the cleaning staff) make it a perfect place for relaxation. The premium amenities with pool, spa and wellness facilities offered us an excellent experience! We had small private and very clean pool in our suite that made us feel so serene. Also although it is secluded, it is very close to the beach and to super markets, pharmacies etc. The food at the two restaurants that the hotel offers was exquisite with vegan choises which was very much appreciated. Also breakfast was a feast with a wide variety to select from. It is the perfect hotel for a romantic getaway but also for families in Lefkada! Thank you so much for making our trip memorable!

First class hotel with wonderful friendly staff! Very welcoming and helpful from when we arrived. Loved the swim up pool bar and Statis in particular was super friendly and hard working! Breakfast could be improved for a more westernised palate but was nice to try different foods and the quality was excellent! Super clean rooms and having three bathrooms was fantastic. Had a brilliant family holiday here and would recommend 100%.

Here is an honest review of the good and the not so good. The great is - apartments are stunning (air con great and needed!), cleaning team excellent and restaurant staff are the best. Restaurant food in the evening and room service superb. Loungers around pool comfortable and don’t need to go early to get them (but I guess probably 80 for the 100+ rooms so is busy later). Was able to get into the room early when arriving. The not so good - Reception staff were ironically the least friendly and had a bit of an attitude - very ungreek like. Had to chase four times for a minibus transfer to airport as had lots of luggage as a 3 week trip. Normal car turned up and had four suitcases hanging out of car with string (see photo). Buffet Breakfast after around 9.30 is a bit crazy, like people have never eaten or drunk before. There is only one cold drink machine and two coffee machines for the whole breakfast service and mainly one guy on egg station, (from memory 140 rooms so can see why so busy), doesn’t take long to be seated as added more seating area but inside area small really for overall size. Staff really amazing in there though. Having teenagers couldn’t use adult pool, there were days where it was like a waterpark - large inflatables, balls being thrown of all sizes and many times people hit. Kids throwing stuff from middle pool to bottom pool (and hitting people) and at one point a large group snapped as had enough of awful kids completely unsupervised for hours throwing balls at people and dive bombing getting everyone soaked. I had to go to reception to say firstly there is going to be an actual fight if left, secondly the pools are not big enough for balls etc and says no diving but diving happening all day everyday. Happy for kids to play but not exactly the tranquil picture portrayed. Luckily we had a room with a pool so just stayed large amount of time up there to stay away from it all. New pool towel service is a bit overkill- give you a voucher with a 15 euro per towel deposit and keep changing it each day. Not sure if because towels being stolen but seems crazy for a 5 star sort of place charging as much as they do to have that sort of a fuss and never had that in Greece before. Realised after a few days Paint coming off the pool each day onto swimming costumes, maybe as so hot, see photo for an example, felt more hassle than it is worth with reception to address it. Spa is a bit random, you have to walk up a hill down a track and it is almost a newly built shed with no side walls just a few curtains so not particularly private, but also not particularly expensive. So a mixed bag, in Greece terms it is a high end complex that looks beautiful. But it’s not the tranquil paradise portrayed in the 8 nights we were there so we wouldn’t be upset to stay there again but also not in a rush to go straight back.

What a hotel!! I cannot recommend Crystal Waters and their wonderful staff enough. I have travelled extensively, including Greece many times and I can honestly say they have been world class!! The hotel is in a beautiful setting, slightly into the hills for amazing views over the mountains and sea. (Not too much hill/step climbing but not for those with walking difficulty.) My friends and I shared a presidential suite which was tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and very peaceful. The beds are super comfortable and all amenities you needed. Our little pool was perfect for a post beach day cool down with ice cold drink in hand. Breakfast buffet is amazing! Literally every food you could want and lovely friendly restaurant staff. The hotel is in a small traditional resort with lovely restaurants (highly recommend Breath of Zorba) and little boutique shops. Plenty of supermarkets and a fun beach club called NV, although shade options there are cosmetic rather than practical! Eleni and Eleni at reception have been wonderful helping me manage an awful situation where four of my group didn’t make it due to a cancelled flight with EasyJet. Eleni the assistant manager was incredibly supportive and helped with letters needed for insurance. In short, this is a gem of a hotel with Greek luxury and a team of people who strive really hard to make your stay perfect. Thank you everyone at Crystal Waters.

I had the MOST amazing experience at Crystal Waters Lefkada! The staff were so warm, welcoming and accommodating. They were incredibly helpful and always joyous to help. The receptionists were a great help when I had reservations to book or had any questions. The food was amazing! Breakfast is buffet style with loads of selections. The staff were so friendly and kind during my stay. I took this vacation to celebrate my birthday and they went above and beyond to make it a special occasion for me. Cristos was soo lovely, he really made a wonderful effort to make the moment special, the two helpful waitresses (Samaria & Ithona) (I hope those are the correct spelling) along with him were very kind. Efi was so warm and friendly and so many more serving staff, the names slip my mind but I am forever grateful for their kindness. I also booked a massage in the spa. I love the fact that it is outdoor, Prentles (I hope that is the correct spelling) was an excellent masseuse. He was very reassuring and did a wonderful job. The cleaners were also very friendly and accommodated my needs. Overall, my experience was 10 out 10! I told my family all about it and no doubt I will tell anyone that Crystal Waters is the place to stay when visiting Lefkada. Additionally, the people of the Lefkada are generally very friendly and welcoming, I felt so much love everywhere I went. I hope to visit again! I had THE best time.
