Our beautiful home exudes hospitality and warmth the minute you step inside.Built in 1910 as a "Painted Lady" of the era, the house is perfectly situated just two blocks from our lovely downtown, making it a perfect distance for a quiet evening stroll.The property is surrounded by old apple and plum trees and full lilac bushes that scent the air in the spring and offer shade in the summer. One of my favorite features of the house is the very deep claw-footed tub in the upstairs bathroom. After a good day of outdoor activities it is a welcome place for a sudsy soak! Then make yourself a delicious cup of tea and relax with a good book in one of the three comfortable sitting rooms. The backyard offers privacy and quiet moments under the stars while making plans for your next adventure such as hiking in the Crazy Mountains, fishing on our rivers or heading out for a day trip to the park. This is a brand new construction on the Yellowstone River. Its perfect for anyone looking to spend time on the river (float, fish). Very comfortable. Plenty of outside areas to sit and relax - watch the river, all kinds of wildlife and magnificent scenery to enjoy. Although out of the way and very private, only a few miles to town. 1.5 hour drive to Yellowstone Park. This is an off grid property. Solar powered, propane and fresh well water. Owners on site and always available. About this spaceThe Sweetgrass Cottage is quaint and well-equipped suite located within walking distance of downtown Big Timber.The cottage includes free off-street parking right in front of the private entrance, a gas grill, fast Wi-Fi, A/C, and a washer/dryer (available by request), as well as many other items to help make your stay more enjoyable. Very peaceful and comfortable whether you are staying for a night or several months.The spaceThe cottage includes a master bedroom/bathroom that features a queen bed and jacuzzi tub/shower combination. There is a sitting room that is home to both a couch and recliner (note: I have fast WIFI but no TV) not to mention an assortment of games. The kitchenette/dining room is stocked very nicely for an overnight or extended stay, with the kitchen having a small refrigerator, hot plate, microwave, toaster, Keurig, single-serve coffee maker, blender, all the basic pots pans and utensils.While the cottage is ideally suited to couples, there is a couch and recliner that could easily sleep small children as long as everyone is clear that the one bathroom is accessible only via the master bedroom.Guests have complete access to their 100% private suite, plus access to the backyard propane grill.The Sweetgrass Cottage is always stocked with: toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, coffee, sweeteners, creamers, cooking oil, salt, pepper, etc.We will gladly offer a discount for monthly and weekly stays during certain times of year.
