We enjoyed walking a few steps to watch the sunsets over the bay in the evenings and crabbing and fishing during the day in the same spot. The ocean was a short, 3 block walk away, very doable. It was also nice to be able to walk to Anchor Market, Okies, and other shops in Surf City. There were plenty of linens for all the beds and the kitchen was well equipped.
