Welcome to our camp perched on the shores of 1st Connecticut Lake. Inside has been nicely updated for comfort and amenity while keeping to the original charm and nostalgia of when it was built in the 50's. Walk in to a large landing area and drop all your bags to take in the beautiful views of the lake and mountains. The open concept great room and dining area allows for the entire group to gather and make lifelong Pittsburg memories. The kitchen is a step back in time with original pink Formica countertops, a wall mounted can opener and every kitchen gadget your grandmother most likely ordered from a Fingerhut catalog. We love it this way and hope you do too. There's no dishwasher except for whomever draws the short straw after meals are done. The loons will sing you to sleep in the three bedrooms that sleep 6 comfortably. We've updated all the mattresses and bedding for added comfort and coziness. Walk out onto the expansive deck off the kitchen to grill, watch the sunset and stargaze at night in front of a propane firepit. Walk down to the beach for a day in the lake to kayak, skip rocks, fish, swim or float. In the winter ice fish, downhill tube or take your snow machines out for a day's run. We have kayaks, a SUP, tubes and a canoe for your lake enjoyment. At this moment we do not have a dock, this is on the project list. There is a washer and dryer, wifi, smart TV's (roku's) and cell service for modern amenities. This comfortable chalet is clean, smoke-free, fully furnished and is available in the heart of outdoor living. There are 2 bedrooms as well as a loft for sleeping. One bedroom has a queen sized bed and futon, the other bedroom has a queen sized bed, and the loft houses a daybed with trundle. In the living room, you will find a queen sleeper sofa. It has 2 private bathrooms (one with a jet tub), satellite flat-screen TV, fireplace, free wi-fi, cell phone service and can sleep 9 comfortably. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances. Outdoors you will find a covered front porch with a gas grill. Chairs and fire pit are located in the yard. There is a 2-night minimum stay unless it is a holiday week or weekend where it is a 3-night minimum requirement. It is not wheelchair accessible. Pets are allowed for an additional fee. Equipped to sleep 8 on the first floor and 4 additional people can climb the ladder to the sleeping loft. There are many amenities at Camp Coös that keep our guests happy and returning year after year. There is a slight slope to the driveway but many modifications have been made for ample parking and ease of access in the winter months. The home is centrally located a VERY short distance down a private road. Within 5 miles of Young's General Store, 1840, The Buck Rub Pub, Full Send and Bear Rock Adventures. When renting with Camp Coös you will have access to the main floor of the home and loft. There is no access to the basement or the garage that is on the property. This beautiful home is located on 2+ private acres with a fire pit to the side of the home and a large deck overlooking the mountains and Lake Francis. We do not allow family pets at this time. We do make exceptions for crated hunting dogs during bird season. Unauthorized dogs will forfeit entire security deposit.We do have a cameras looking at the front steps and one on the garage door. We also have a camera on the back of the house facing a snow stick in the winter to monitor snow depth as well as the generator. There is a ring camera on the main door to monitor the steps. These cameras are on and only to used to protect the house when guest are not present. No audio recording. There are NO cameras inside the home. Equipped to sleep 8 on the first floor and 4 additional people can climb the ladder to the sleeping loft.Check in 4pm and check out 10am. Welcome to the Middle Pond Cabin! This cozy, waterfront cabin is centrally located to all of Pittsburg's amenities. It has direct access to the Great North Woods' vast snowmobile and ATV trails. Middle Pond is an 8 acre, stocked pond that is loaded with trout and other wildlife that call it home.The cabin has three bedrooms (all with queen size beds), a fantastic kitchen, and a beautiful living room / sun room. The cabin also has a back-up Generac generator for the occasional winter storm!Other things to note: By far, the most frequently asked question we get is: "Does your cabin REALLY have direct trail access?" The answer to this is YES! Simply walk out the door, hop on your rig, and head on out. You will be directly on the trail system upon pulling down our driveway. For a reference point, we are located on Moose Pond Road halfway between Back Lake Road and Trail # 146.
