Located in the beautiful Parks community, experience cozy luxury in our 2,050 square foot, 2-bedroom, 2-bath home. Our home caters to those who want to relax in comfort and privacy, with lots of space to enjoy the outdoors. We follow a CDC compliant cleaning protocol.The two bedrooms in the home are quite large, very private, quiet and relaxing. Each bedroom is like a private suite with large couches, private decks, large screen TVs, lots of books, and beautiful views.The master bedroom has a brand new king size, memory foam mattress, comfortable seating areas, built-in bookshelves, a 65" ultra HD TV, and an expansive deck with beautiful views of the surrounding forest. The master bedroom has a full en suite bathroom.In the second bedroom you'll experience a top quality queen mattress. There is a very large and comfortable seating area in the second bedroom with a 60" 4K TV and excellent sound system. The guest bathroom includes a powerful jetted tub with mood lighting and heater. The second bedroom also includes a private deck and a separate salon (i.e. dressing/make-up room).For extra guests, a queen air-mattress is available and a futon is available as well. A pack and play and play pen are available for our youngest guests.The home's kitchen is outfitted with plenty of dishware, silverware, pots & pans, a large oven, microwave, and dishwasher. Typically there is plenty of coffee and tea in the pantry and condiments in the refrigerator for your use. A highchair is available in the kitchen as well.There are large decks with incredible views looking out towards the Kaibab National Forest. If you enjoy nature, there are marked hiking trails directly behind the home with several benches placed for watching the wildlife.Additional amenities include Starlink WiFi, a DVD player with DVD library, over 100 recorded movies, many shelves of books (including children's), puzzles, and a propane gas grill. Also, you'll notice many extras and special touches throughout the home. We have lots of special perks and products for you to try on your vacation, including a Soundboks portable speaker and two Aventon e-bikes! We ask that our guests conserve water to the extent possible as we haul water to our home. Beautiful Rocky Mountain Retreat is located 20 minutes west of Flagstaff, towards Williams and the Grand Canyon, at 7500 ft elevation and is surrounded by 3 secluded acres of tall Ponderosa Pines. This immaculate cabin is beautifully decorated and fully furnished with all the modern amenities. There are amazing views of forest from every window! There are 2 bathrooms, one king-size bedroom, two queen-size bedrooms, and a fourth bedroom with a bunk bed with a full-size on the bottom and twin on top. There is also a pull-out queen sofa-bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the modern appliances you could need and full sets of serving and cooking utensils for entertaining. The game room has a pool table, a large TV, and a sectional full of recliners. Free wireless internet is available (hopefully for fun not work :-). There is also a full-size washer and dryer. Hair dryers, curling irons and basic toiletries are included. There are plenty of cozy pillows and blankets . You can curl up in front of the stone fireplace and watch the wildlife outside. Rocky Mountain Retreat has all the comforts of home.Outside the Cabin: If you love seclusion and views of hundreds of pine trees, this is the cabin for you! The large wraparound deck is great for outdoor family meals. Then relax with some marshmallows around the campfire or watch the swaying trees or bright stars as you lay in the hammock. Or enjoy the propane fire pit watching the stars from the back deck. A propane Weber grill is also located on the back deck. Children will love the tree house with slide and hammock, swing sets, and horseshoes. There is a huge selection of board games, videos and DVDs as well as 4 TVs. Nearby hiking and off-roading trails abound. The Grand Canyon Deer Farm/Petting Zoo and Oak Hill Snowplay area (in winter), and Bearizona are only minutes away. There are several small lakes nearby, as well as the Lava Cave and breath-taking Sycamore Canyon hiking/rock climbing area. The area around our cabin is abundant with elk.The Area: Rocky Mountain Retreat offers a true sense of being away from it all, yet the town of and Flagstaff with over 200 restaurants, great night life and shopping is only 20 mins away. The historic Route 66 town of Williams is only 10 mins away, where you can catch the Grand Canyon Railway or Polar Express (in winter). The Grand Canyon is a 60 min drive, and fantastic Oak Creek Canyon/ Sedona is about 45 mins. There are two downhill ski resorts 30 and 45 mins away and a cross country ski trail just a couple minutes away. Snowbowl resort is at 11,500 ft elevation and offers 32 trails of great skiing/snowboarding; in the summer you can take the skyride to the top for panoramic views that include the Grand Canyon, and fantastic hiking. Loft excluded, the cabin is child & limited-mobility friendly being accessible without steps and sports a wraparound deck with 3 covered patios. We’ve worked hard to ensure you enjoy this escape from ordinary life as much as we do!The Location:Dream Acres is nestled perfectly between all the sightseeing and adventure Northern Arizona has to offer… a base-camp providing quick access to the Grand Canyon’s world famous views, Sedona’s stunning red rocks, Flagstaff’s ski town charm, and Williams’s Bearizona, Canyon Adventure Park, Route 66, & Grand Canyon Railroad / Polar Express (Winter) train ride. As if that wasn't enough, between the back yard and a short drive, you can find hiking, fishing, sledding, lava tube caves, and the reindeer farm. There is a historic Route 66 outpost 4 miles down the road serving amazing made-to-order breakfast (try their green chili breakfast burrito), lunch, and dinner options in addition to any staples and just about anything else you’d need (in case you forgot marshmallows for smores). One of our favorite spots to visit is a nearby lake that’s a bird sanctuary where we have often seen Bald Eagles and other amazing birds up close!The Property:Looking for a trip, OR AN EXPERIENCE? Why not make where you stay part of your adventure instead of just where you sleep?!?! Instead of a house like the one you live in, you can have a real log cabin in the woods with all the comforts of home! This retreat avoids neighborhood settings where everyone sees and hears each other. Here you avoid the worry of close roads, loud traffic, and the dust and noise that comes with it…making it possible to lay in one of several hammocks for hours and hear nothing but nature! Our cabin sits at the rear of 10 tree filled acres, and backs to 1.6 million acres of Kaibab national forest. There is a private gated gravel driveway 1/4 of a mile long shared by only two other properties (one of which is at the front by the road, the other on five acres next to ours). This means you are undisturbed…and unlikely to see or hear anyone most of the time. The back acre around the cabin is fully fenced (~3.5 ft high) so children and dogs can roam about exploring without concern of any traffic, strangers, or forest critters saying hello. You’ll be surrounded by trees with no view of the main road. Relax on the front porch swing with unobstructed views of Snowbowl (you can see the ski runs) and the entire valley…making for a stunning backdrop to escape and unwind. The rest of the cabin is surrounded by the shade of a thick 40’+ tall ponderosa forest. The front yard has no lights, allowing for stunning views of the stars and Milky Way, while the backyard has smart outdoor lighting... allowing for enjoyment of the backyard throughout the night regardless of if you’re relaxing on one of the four hammocks, doing archery (rental fee & waiver), or playing horseshoes (we will have the new and improved zip line back up soon). We have a firepit with seating for 12+ (Strictly allowed only when no fire restrictions!!!) There is plenty of parking for several cars, an RV, or toy haulers. The rear fence allows access directly to the forest and the hundreds of miles of hiking, walking, and off-roading trails. Please be advised, there is no smoking in or around the cabin as there is a high risk of fire. For your pets, the laundry room has a doggie door into a fenced dog run with covered roof…allowing them to go outside at night but not risk running off or into wildlife. It also allows you to go on trips where you can’t bring your pet, but want them to have some room to roam and go the bathroom without locking them in a crate or worrying about them. Over the years we have seen rabbits, raccoons, squirrels, fox, deer, cows, and elk on/around the property along with a wide variety of bird species, the most common being hummingbirds and blue jays. Currently our zip line is not up, sorry.The Cabin:DREAM ACRES is approximately 2300 sf with four bedrooms (bedroom 4=an open loft), and two full baths. ROOM 1= Cali King bed, 2 night stands w/drawers, sitting area with two chairs, & bathroom with walk in shower with a bench.ROOM 2= Queen bed, two night stands, a dresser, and closet.ROOM 3= Bunk room= two full size bunk beds large & sturdy enough for adults. Be advised it’s also a passthrough to Master, a sliding partition separates the bunk room from living room. This area will eventually get it’s own TV as well. There is an office desk & chair with great window views if you need to work during your stay. Room 4= The open loft with brand new king frame and plush memory foam mattress, two nightstands, and a small desk spans roughly 18 feet and provides a view over the living room. It’s often a favorite spot for the kids to hang out and have their own space.Additional Sleeping= the cabin comes equipped with a Pack & Play crib, 2 high-end extra height queen inflatable air mattress, and the brand new living room sectional with 4'x4' foot ottoman that can easily accommodate a couple adults or several children.LIVING ROOM= vaulted tongue in groove ceilings with expansive saw cut support beams spanning throughout add to the unique architecture along with custom log stairs. Relax on the giant new sectional and watch the large wood burning fireplace equipped with fire tools (( no wood provided))It’s truly a prefect blend of modern-day comfort meets relaxed rustic charm. Free & unlimited high speed WiFi easily supports work zoom calls while others stream movies on the 50” Smart T.V. with Netflix, Amazon, Disney, and other services you can sign into. There is also a DVD/Blu-ray player with a selection of 100+ DVDs to choose from. Better yet…you can disconnect from everything and challenge others to one of the many options from the board game wall! There are amazing views out nearly every window and it’s not uncommon to spot deer, elk, or a fox in the early morning depending on the season.KITCHEN = room for several people at once with a new stainless steel Fridge, double oven/ cooktop, and dishwasher. The kitchen is fully stocked with microwave, toaster, blender, and new cookware & bakeware, knife block, spices, and more to accommodate stays from a few days to over a month…you can even cook a full thanksgiving dinner…or if you want something more relaxed, use the BBQ out back of the new 36" Blackstone Griddle and become the Benihana chef you always wanted to be! MUD/LAUNDRY ROOM= full size washer available for stays of 4+ days as we haul our water to the cabin, and dryer can be used anytime to heat up a blanket to sit outside at night and stargaze! The bench allows your group to drop supplies or outdoor gear and shoes/snow gear without bringing it inside and having to clutter the living space . WHAT’S NEW? All seven high-end ultra-comfort mattresses are brand new… as are the pillows, linens, towels, cookware, bakeware, dishes, silverware, knives, spice rack, the flooring in all bedrooms, the fridge and stove… (almost everything). This beautifully decorated, multi-level home, is located on 5-acres in the tall pines of Kaibab National Forest. Nestled in Parks midway between Flagstaff and Williams, this location allows easy access to many attractions such as National Parks, hiking trails, ski slopes, museums, etc. You can also just relax on the porch or play yard games. This is not your typical commercial rental unit! It's our family vacation home that we lovingly decorated with antiques gathered through the years. We would be delighted to have you stay here and hope you enjoy it as much as we do. The Space:Welcome to Mountain Time Manor! Our home is the perfect choice for groups, families or gatherings of friends looking for a comfortable place to stay. With 6 bedrooms, 4 full baths and two generous common areas, you'll have plenty of room to relax and unwind. When you turn onto the Forest Service Road, there will be two gates to open. There might be cows on the National Forest land. If the gates are open, leave them open. If the gates are closed, kindly close them behind you and drive on up to park in the 4-car driveway or the expansive 2-car garage, there is also additional parking available anywhere on the gravel. When you come into the house through the garage, you can drop your coats and boots off in the mudroom. The laundry room right next door is equipped with a full size washer, dryer, ironing board and full bath. Walking into the main house, you will find a spacious, fully stocked kitchen, breakfast nook and adjacent dining room. Down the hall is a full bathroom and three guest rooms, affectionately named the Cowboy Room, the Ansel Adams Room and the Band Room. In accordance with the antique decorating style, all the beds are full sized because that was the only size in the olden days. The living room hosts an old wood burning stove that keeps the majority of downstairs warm. The entire house is climate controlled with AC and heater as well. The stairs lead up to the large second story living area with two bedrooms, a full bathroom and a kitchenette, perfect for lounging, watching movies or playing games. One room has two double beds and the other has two twin beds. Both rooms upstairs have cozy window nooks for reading, watching wildlife or just enjoying the scenic views of the forest. Due to the stairs, please understand the second level is not recommended for mobility impaired persons. At the foot of the stairs, you will find the master bedroom. This is where you'll find a convenient workspace with a tabletop computer, fast speed internet and a printer available for your use. The attached custom master bath boasts a claw foot bathtub to soak and relax from the day's activities.You can go straight out the front door to relax on the wrap around porch, read on the porch swing or play bowling ball croquet in the front yard. Speaking of the outdoors, our home offers a large sandstone patio designed for social gatherings with a table, plenty of seating, a fire pit and BBQ grill for your enjoyment. You'll notice an original historic building built in the 1800's opposite the driveway. There's also an original outhouse to go with it. Though you can't take a peek inside, please enjoy our own little piece of Arizona heritage from the outside. The hosts are just a quick phone call away if you should need anything...Guest Access:You will enter through the side garage door. The home utilizes a key lockbox. Codes are emailed with check-in instructions by VRBO 48 hours prior to arrival. Other Things to Note:Please keep dogs on leash when outside at all times. Although the property is entirely fenced, it is not secure enough to keep dogs in. Our neighbors have livestock and we cannot risk dogs chasing them or the cows that graze on forest land across the road. In the winter time, Old Highway 66 and Spring Valley Road are plowed by the County road crews. Forest Service 440 Road is plowed by the residents who live along the road. We will clear Forest Service 440 Road and the driveway of snow before you arrive but in the chance that it snows while you are staying here, guests can either drive over the snow or clear the snow with shovels provided in the shed. Be aware that when snow melts, it turns to ice overnight, so be careful walking and driving. Behind the garage, there is a shed where you can find a snow shovel, broom and squeegee for snow removal. This cozy 3 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom cabin has room for family and friends with easy access to The Grand Canyon, Williams, Sedona & Flagstaff.This privately owned cabin is 15 minutes from Williams, 30 minutes from Flagstaff and just one hour from The Grand Canyons' South Entrance! One hour south of you is the epic outdoor playground, Sedona!Upstairs the cabin has a master bedroom with a king bed and flat screen TV, and a loft bedroom with a queen bed and flat screen TV. Please note: The loft bedroom is open on the interior wall and has a curtain that can be drawn for privacy. There are no refunds, partial or otherwise, when the renter does not know this.There is a full bathroom upstairs and downstairs. Stay cool or warm with the addition of three mini-split A/C/Heater units as well as a central heating system.Also upstairs are two twin mattresses stacked on top of each other. They can be used as one bed or separated to offer another sleeping option. When not in use this is a sitting area and not a private bedroom.Downstairs is a futon pull out comfortable for two, and in the third bedroom there is a daybed with two twins. We have a queen size air mattress if needed at no additional charge. The fully equipped kitchen includes a breakfast bar, an electric stove with a smooth cooktop, microwave, fridge, coffee pot, and all the cooking necessities you should need.The living room has a large sectional couch, a 65" flatscreen TV with a sound-bar, and an electric fireplace with heating capabilities. In addition the cabin has an oversized front deck with a firepit and seating and a gas grill for use by our guests. In the backyard is another deck and a covered ramada with seating options .You can stay connected using our upgraded Starlink WiFi & dish satellite TV. We have books and games, extra pillows & blankets and a fully fenced 1-acre yard where you can roam.
