West Kauai is home to the longest, continuous stretch of white sand beach in the entire state of Hawaii. (over 15 miles long). Additionally, Kekaha is the closest town on the island to the world famous 'Polihale' Beach, which is arguably the most incredible beach in all of Hawaii. Polihale Beach has miles and Miles of pristine powder sand, 100 ft tall sand dunes, crystal blue water and a gorgeous backdrop with views of the 3000 ft cliffs of the Napali Coastline. Salt Pond Beach is yet another choice within a few minutes of Kekaha for those days when you want extremely calm waters to swim in, or perhaps do a little snorkeling. Salt Pond beach is in a protected cove, so it's almost always calm enough for taking the 'little ones' in the water too.Activities in West Kauai include surfing, sunbathing, swimming, body surfing, boogie boarding, wind surfing, whale watching and endless hiking opportunities.
