Quiet village, not at all ‘touristy’, and a really peaceful place to stay. We had a terrace outside the bedroom, great spot to sit in the evening and watch the sun set over Souda bay. Ground floor terrace with patio furniture, lovely spot to eat (although apartment cooking facilities are very limited – don’t stay here if you’re the sort who loves to cook on holiday!). Clean, sheets and towels were changed about every 3 days, washing machine in communal office area. Friendly owner who responded very quickly to text messages about minor issues. Pool was larger than we expected, very clean and well maintained with plenty of loungers and umbrellas. Lovely setting, well maintained and lots of flowers around so very pretty. Excellent, good value family-run taverna right next door – some quiet music in the evening, but won’t disturb (except the night we were there and they had a very noisy wedding reception until the small Hours!!).
