Depending on the time of year you might see geese or ducks rearing their young on our wildlife pond, long-eared bats catching insects at dusk, or our resident hedgehog late at night. We provide a bird guide to help you identify birds on the birdfeeders, including the Great Spotted Woodpecker, goldfinch, tits and chaffinches. Our black and white rescue cat, Bubble, keeps a watchful eye over the whole farm.We welcome one well-behaved, adult, dog. There's a lovely private sunny seating area in front of the Barn; we ask dog owners to keep their dog on a lead because the area isn't fully enclosed. The area is very dog friendly, and you may find shopkeepers offering your pet a treat with every visit! Most pubs and restaurants welcome dogs and nearby Sandymouth beach allows dogs all year round. We have one other holiday apartment for couples in our courtyard, which is entirely separate from the Barn. A wonderful calm space made more relaxing by sitting in the garden listening to the waves of the neighbouring Atlantic as you enjoy the fabulous surrkundings afforded by the large private garden. ‘The Surf House’ is a contemporary bungalow recently completely renovated, located on one of the most desirable residential areas of Widemouth Bay, just within 3 minutes’ walk from the beach, one of Cornwall’s Blue Flag & top surfing beaches. The house is adjacent to the South West coastal path, making The Surf House a wonderful place to stay for surfers, walkers, golfers & families in equal measure. The house boasts welcoming open plan living, a raised terrace area opening from the lounge & expansive garden area where you can enjoy al fresco dining with the sea as a backdrop protected from sea breezes. There is plentiful car parking for three cars, lockable annex / utility room for storing surfboards & bikes, outside shower, Smart TV. The house has three good sized bedrooms – accommodating 6 guests in one of either a super king, king or one twin. There is also one family bathroom with bath & shower. Nearby is the excellent local village shop with a daily fresh fish counter and they stock all daily essentials. There is also a good selection of pubs and restaurants within a 10-15 minute walk serving great local food and drinks. Bude town, which has an excellent selection of restaurants and many really good small independent shops, is a short drive along the scenic coast road.
