The ninth floor refers to the four city gate towers in the east, west, south, and north, as well as the four city corner towers. There is only one building that does not belong to the city gate system: Yanghe Building is the first of the ninth floor, and there is a saying that "the eighth floor is the arch of Yanghe".
Yanghe Tower was built at the end of the Jin Dynasty and the beginning of the Yuan Dynasty, and it was repaired for several hundred years. The layout of the building is slightly similar to the end gate of the Forbidden City, and it is known as the "Famous Building of the South of the Province" and the "Georgous View of the Town". Mr. Liang Sicheng praised this building as "as solemn as the Arc de Triumph of Constantine in Rome."
Yanghe Courtyard is located on the east side of Yanghe Tower in the ancient city of positive definite, just a wall away from Linji Temple. In the Yuan Dynasty, the Western Regions scholar Na Xin said in "The Chronicles of He Shuo's Visit to the Ancients" that "Yanghe Tower is the south gate of Zhending City, with two cities on the left and right, and the excellent prostitutes, wine, and tea stoves, and wealthy merchants gathered here." The area around Yanghelou was the most prosperous market place in Zhending (now positive definite). Most literati, idlers, and high-ranking officials built their own courtyards near Yanghe Tower. During its heyday, there were many temples around Yanghe Tower, such as Guandi Temple, Yuewang Temple, and Wudao Temple. The folk tradition was that "the road is sandwiched between the temple, the temple is sandwiched between the road, and there are five roads at the crossroads."
positive definite South Street is a relatively concentrated area of historical relics in positive definite, including positive definite South City Gate Changle Gate, Yanghe Building, Jiaolin Book House, and Liang Family Ancestral Hall. There are Kaiyuan Temple, Guanghui Temple, Linji Temple, Huata, and other places that complement each other.
