Your outdoor adventure awaits at the Bear Bottom Cabin in the Pine Creek Valley! This cabin sleeps 16+ and is fully furnished with the conveniences of home. This four bedroom home features ample space for multiple families and friends. Currently we have window units but anticipate having central air soon. Outdoor spaces include covered pavilion, screened in porch, and outdoor fire pit. Unplug yourself in a relaxing cabin on the mountain. Less than a half mile away from Pine Creek and Rail Trail adventures. This home includes bikes for the 62 mile rail trail. Plenty of local restaurants to visit during your stay. It is also conveniently located 34 miles from Wellsboro. 63 miles to State College. Our quiet cabin is perfect for a getaway or family vacation (not suited for parties). This cabin will have you coming back year round. All about The Cabin at Slate RunThe Cabin is on 3/4 acre lot conveniently located between Cammal and Slate Run on SR414. Creekfront Property! Located just south of Slate Run and the Hotel Manor and Wolfe's General Store. Enjoy biking, hiking, running and Cross Country Skiing on the rail trail or fishing, canoeing and kayaking on the creekInside we have 3 spacious bedrooms with lots of natural light, private bathroom /shower, full kitchen with cooktop, living room area with large dining table for 6 , 2 full bathrooms, cozy reading nook and electric fireplace.Outside under a covered porch is a dining table for 6 and propane grill.The Cabin is fully heated and air conditioned inside . During the winter months, radiant floor heat is the main source.Guests will have a keyless entry pad to gain access to the property.WE NOW HAVE WIFI!!!Sorry, no pets allowed. No smoking inside. OUTSIDEThe outside living space area is fully covered with a large vaulted porch roof. We also have a propane grill and a fire pit with 8 Adirondack style chairs to enjoy the scenery. INSIDEThe bedrooms have lots of windows for natural light. Connecting to the master bedroom is a private full bathroom. The living space area also has a electric fireplace, TV, 3 couches, 2 chairs, and full view double doors that opens to the large covered deck. The kitchen has all modern amenities including; refrigerator with freezer and ice maker, cook top, oven, and microwave. The property has direct creek access and easy access to the rail trail bike path. The 65-mile long pine creek rail trail is ideal for biking, hiking, running and Cross Country Skiing and was ranked a Top 10 Bike Ride by the USA Today.As you venture outside you will find a screened in porch which leads to the deck overlooking the creek. Here you will find 2 areas for outdoor dining/seating, a new propane grill, and fire pit with Adirondack chairs. A set of stairs leads down to the creek for direct access for water activities. Property includes the use of 4 adult kayaks situated on the rack adjacent to the access. Had no enough fun outside, relax inside with the comfort of central air conditioning and a gas fireplace to cozy up during the cooler months.Inside you will find a large sectional sofa, fly tying table for fishermen, DVDs, books, board games, and a variety of children's toys available for use. The dining room has a large table with 7 chairs plus additional seating at the bar.The house sleeps up to 10 adults comfortably and the interior is newly renovated as of 2024 with updated bathrooms and flooring.
