Everything was perfect: clean and nice room, beautiful view, perfect location and great restaurant! Moreover, Maria is an amazing host, really kind and helpful, and she gave us a lot of great suggestions! Long story short: we LOVED our stay at Glykeria hotel!! :)

This is a good stop over when visiting Elafonisi beach/area, but only warrants 7/10 based on our experience/room and we regularly stay in multiple accommodations of all categories, across Crete twice a year. Pros Maria was absolutely the best hostess Location and views were idyllic Good balcony chairs - very roomy and comfy. Very comfy large bed Restaurant was really good with lovely, efficient waiting staff. Service was excellent Good toiletries provided Daily cleaning Cons Shower was very basic (but water pressure good) Toilet far too close to sink unit (very cramped) Mirror cracked Towels very rough and discoloured Sunbeds stained and needed replacing - they were wooden and wheels kept coming off and nails were sticking out in places. Pool very cold - we couldn’t use it despite the beautiful hot weather.

I’m reluctant to write a review as I want to keep this place a secret… Stayed for 4 nights to explore the area. Maria welcomed us with lots of information about local beaches which we visited all but one. Each very unique and quiet compared to Elafonisi. The room was lovely and bright, with a balcony overlooking the coastline. Tea/coffee and coffee machine in the room and toiletries. Swimming pool was a nice area and you can order drinks from the restaurant opposite. We ate breakfast there which was 20% off for hotel guests. And had dinner there every night. Food was lovely and staff were great and really friendly. There’s also 2 or 3 other tavernas/ restaurants a short walk away, and a mini market. It’s a 10 min drive to Elafonisi. Would recommend getting there early to beat the crowds. We only stayed the morning there, preferring the other more quiet beaches. Was sad to leave and wish we could have stayed the remainder of our time in Crete there. But I’m sure we will be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Glykeria Hotel. The location and pool was very convenient. Maria was so attentive and helpful. She provided expert guidance on where and how to go and when. Their restaurant across the street is also excellent. I wish that we had stayed longer.

The view, pool, room and location of this place are enough to give it a top rating but the host, Maria, is what puts it over the top. She was so warm and treated us as if our showing up made her day. I heard her talking to everyone with the same enthusiasm and kindness. She provided us with a list of beaches to visit along with Elaphonisi. I wouldn't have gone to them if not for her recommendations and White Beach turned out to be one of our favorites of the trip. Their restaurant was very good and the service was professional and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed here with friends while traveling through Crete. The rooms are pleasant , with a nice patio in each. The pool makes a welcome refresher at the end of the day. Restaurant serves a variety of dishes, although they often “ran out” of their specialties before we could get them. We would return again. Recommend a room above ground level.

Amazing experience!! Maria is so helpful, at arrival we got a list of great spots in the area, beautiful towels and beachbag and umbrella to take to Elafonisi Beach. The pool and all seats outside are available all the time. Breakfast was wonderful and staff is very sweet and professional. And maybe most important.. Beds are very good!! Great matrasses! Slept like babies after a long drive! 5 out of 5 stars!

Nice hotel, well equipped , nicely furnished and very well managed by a friendly couple. Just across the street there is their good restaurant where you can also have breakfast in the morning . Highly recommended!

Outstanding food and service in this family run hotel outside Elafonisi. Stunning sea and mountain views from the very comfortable and spotless rooms. We arrived late at night and were greeted in the car park with large cold bottles of water followed by a beautiful supper. Nothing was any trouble for the staff, and the owner, Nikos, dropped us to the beach after a lovely breakfast the next morning. We were sorry not to have been staying longer, but we started our walking trip that day.
