"Our superior king room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Very large bathroom too with a large bath and separate shower cubicle. Bed was very comfortable and the room had lovely views. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. We drove to the hotel from the A38 to the hotel and the lanes were narrow (as are many lanes in Devon and Cornwall) but the drive through Haldon Forest was beautiful. We drove out the other way through Ide village onto the A30 which was a bit wider! Would definitely stay again."

"The service is not good, the staff is very impatient.
The lobby and other public areas are closed at 11 o'clock, and friends are not allowed to use them even if they need to make a conference call, so the telephones in the corridor and the room will affect other guests.
The heating is not turned on at night, and it is not turned on after complaints.
The English breakfast set is OK. The restaurant also closes on time at 9:30."

"Took quite a while to connect Wi-Fi which needs guest name and room number, and they confused my surname with first name.
A long hair was found on the toilet towel!
The room service lady was knocking the door as early as 9:30am.
Breakfast finishes at 10:00am on Sundays which is quite early as most hotels end at 10:30am.
Room is very spacious with a large double bed and enough power sockets."

"Value for money indeed. Never expect such a spacious and well-refurbished room at such an amazing price. Would recommend it to anyone who visit Exeter since it’s located exactly at the city centre and within 10 or 15 minutes walk from both railway stations."

"There's no reception, which can be dangerous to live alone. For my experience, stranger knocking on my door hard and constantly around 11:30 pm, which is terrifying!! Police came the other night for unknown reason. As they are checking the monitor, we are asked to wait at the bar and not able to go back to our room for around an hour. Good location though, very convenient for everything."
