Tolan Apartments

Me and my partner and daughter had a fantastic week at the tolan apartments the staff were fantastic especially robbie he couldn't do enough for you brilliant location rooms were basic but spotless can't wait to go back to the tolan apartments next year

Lovely place to say hosts were so welcoming the pool was lovely and clean. The rooms were basic but everything you need. Mel and Rob were amazing as for the cleaner and her husband. Although the language barrier, they always took time to speak to us. Great location also as not far from the beach and plenty of shops and bars walking distance. It’s also sat back so you’re not on a main road or anywhere loud so you can hear no loud bars!!!!

Well I have been going to Icmeler for 19 years and have to say I have never stayed anywhere as bad as Tolan. Decided to stay here as our usual apartments were fully booked. Reviews sounded good so thought my friend and I would give it a try. On arrival at 3.50am to complete darkness and the sound of loud snoring coming from somewhere. We were taken to Room 101 where air conditioning was switched on without asking if we wanted it. On trying to unpack in drawers we couldn't open and the state of the room we were very disappointed to say the least. We attempted to lay around the pool but found a number of sunbeds were broken and in shade so next day we went to the beach. We would have complained about the room but on speaking to another 2 guests were told there room was just as bad and they had ants. So decided we would spend as little time there as possible. On day 2 we were asked to pay for the air conditioning and told it would be £70 for 1 week, we explained that everywhere else we have stayed it is £35 per week and were told no it's £10 per day. We said we didn't want it and he said ok cleaner will come and get the key and remote. No cleaner came for the remote so we took it down and paid £30 for 3 days of which we were told no it's 4 days £40. This was a Sunday and we arrived on a Friday...3 days! He eventually accepted. We had no clean sheets or towels the whole week. There was a dead bug on our floor on day 1 and still there on day 7. We don't mind a basic apartment as long as it's clean this was neither. I have never stayed in an apartment where you don't get clean sheets and towels so you can imagine having to use the same towel for a week. I have added pictures and would advise to stay clear of these apartments.

Just returned from a lovely holiday in Icemeler, staying at Tolan apartments. Mel and Rob were amazing hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. Rooms are very basic but clean and maid service everyday.

We booked at the tolan apartments as we wanted this area of icmeler and this came up at a reasonable price, but i actually think you should pay that little bit extra. The pool and actual grounds are well presented and the actual apartment buildings externally are nice its the rooms that are a real let down. The room we were given was a studio room in the roof and was in need of some desperate Tlc, it was scruffy and very basic. Also we were up some spiral stairs which weren't great. We found the owner to be rude and she didn't bother with anyone, on the other hand Rob couldn't do enough and was always there to help and was friendly, he worked some long hours. The apartments are in a great location near all bars, shops and not far from the Beach, it's a shame they don't freshen up the rooms as this I feel is letting down the apartments. It needs someone to take it on that actually cares for the business as the woman (owner) who sits on the settee all the time clearly doesn't it's a shame because it has great potential. We spoke to other holiday makers that felt the same way that the rooms were shocking. We've been to icmeler before and I've got to say this Is one of the worse we've stayed in, the only positives with our stay our room had 2 balconys 1 overlooking the pool and one overlooking the street the views were nice, pool was clean, and the pool loungers were really comfy better than the bed in our room!!! The Negatives was ants all over floor outside round pool area, our bed was really uncomfortable you could feel every spring. Also this was a self catering apartment which our kitchen seemed unfinished and was falling apart and our kettle was absolutely disgusting it was given back and luckily changed for us. Also all our furniture seemed random like it was a store room it didnt seem like a room set up more like a store room. We came for a week As was visiting family so knew it was just somewhere to sleep and get changed it's a good job really as the rooms were very insufficient. Our inlaws stayed in the ground floor and were also not happy with there very scruffy room. I wouldn't come to this accommodation again There's loads of lovely hotels/apartments in icmeler.

This is my 4th time at this apartment and my 12th time to turkey, this is the best apartment I’ve stayed in, location is perfect, short walk to the beach, shops and bars/restaurants. Clean and tidy spacious apartment for 2 people Melika (owner) very welcoming was there to greet us at 3 am, we were treated like family. Rob (barman) really helpful and good fun couldn’t do enough for us Mike and elena (I think that was her name) both lovely people. Fabulous pool always clean and private. Really great place to stay. Will be back again next year!!
