Lumba Lumba Diving Centre

Nice resort especially if you are a diver. Diving here is first class with 1 DM for every 4-5 divers. Food is nice and one can go to other restaurants along the beach for variety. A cab can be arranged to take you sightseeing to the northernmost point of Indonesia. A visit to the tsunami memorial is must if one is to experience the damage the tsunami brought forth.

Whether you're coming for diving or simply to relax, this is the perfect place. We are a family of three, and since we had to take turns diving, we explored plenty of entertainment on Pulau Weh. From catching frogs and swimming to jumping off boats into the sea or chasing crabs on the beach, there's always something fun to do. You can also relax at the restaurant or beach bar and enjoy delicious food prepared by a talented local chef.

We did our Open Water Diver at Lumba Lumba, and couldn't have choosen a better place. The Staff is super friendly and helpful, there are several beautiful dive sights very close by and the bungalow with AC was perfekt. We stayed here for 4 nights, but then prolonged for 2 more because it was so amazing. Our special thanks go out to our dive instructors katri and patrice who are really dedicated to the cause, adapted very attentively to individual learning paces and we all in all felt very well taken care of. Thanks to them we also saw i.a. turtles, lots of fishes and even an indian walkman. Big recommendation! See You next time!!

Lovely staff, smiling happy and always trying to help you have the best time. A couple of really nice dive sights. Excellent place to base yourself to explore the island on scooter.

I stay 3 nights for 2days 7 diving. Can ser many marine Life: manta, groupers, rock lobsters, stingray, turtle, jellyfish, frogfish, spanish dancer(night diving). As i use sidemount bcd different with others, they arrange one to one guidance. It's great experiencia!!!

I came to Lumba Lumba, solo, from Malaysia, not knowing what to expect. Prior to arriving, all arrangements were made by email with them, and I was pleased with their prompt replies to all my questions to help illuminate a little about what to expect throughout the journey from KL to Pulau Weh. I chose Lumba Lumba to make sure my entire experience (as a solo traveler/diver) would be as smooth and as pleasant as possible, and they did not disappoint. Literally, the journey from my house (Puchong) to the airport (KLIA) and then Air Asia flight to Banda Aceh was as smooth as one could imagine. Using the information from Lumba Lumba, I took a taxi to the port to catch the fast ferry with ease. On the island, I took another taxi, and 45 minutes later, I was at Lumba Lumba. It was a little surreal for me to land at Lumba Lumba from my house in Puchong in a few hours. My first impression when I saw Lumba Lumba dive shop was ya, it's a 5-star Padi. The vibe was correct. After dropping my dive gear with them, I was shown my bungalow and was beyond impressed. I do not want to be a 'spoiler alert', but you must check out their amazing bungalows. The bungalows were a few steps away from the dive shop and that was perfect for me since I could return to my 'camera charging stations' in between dives. In addition, I had to stay connected to the internet (yeah they have wifi there too) just in case someone burned down my office back home :). All these 'settings' were perfect for me. And, I haven't even got to the diving part yet. The beach was right in front of the dive shop, and so were the dive boats. The boat and dive crew members were amazing. They helped and prepared everything for you to make sure you have the best of the experience you seek. The dive sites vary in distances but I had the pleasure of going to those not more than 10 minutes boat ride away. You probably will not believe me if I told you that those nearby dive sites had a few marble rays, mabula rays, tuna, barracuda, octopus, cuttlefish, varieties of lion fish, scattered amount of moray eels, ribbon eels and honeycomb eels. I have never seen that many sea fans before, in my life. There was plenty of macro stuff too. But the highlight of my trip was the sighting of a huge mola mola at Batee Tokong. No one expected to see it including me. I was too fixated on go-proing a cuttle fish (as you would) and by the time the dive masters clang their tanks, I just managed to catch sight of the giant for a few seconds, absolutely stunned. It was a mola mola. By the time I maneuvered the go-pro, I could see the mola made one smooth sweep of its fins and off it went. I have been advised by the dive masters that, if ever anyone doubted I saw the mola, point the doubters (haters) in their direction to 'triple' confirm the sighting ;). It was a huge mola mola. I had fun. Beyond my expectations. Perhaps the mental note I have made to myself is this. The next time I go to Lumba Lumba at Pulau Weh, I will brin
