One of the worst holiday experiences we have ever had: 1.5 weeks before the date of departure to the “Criques” on the peninsula of Giens, we receive an email to inform us that our accommodation is no longer available. No explanation. We can choose to go to the “Beach Club” while being offered “premium” accommodation for the same price or cancel. It does not suit us, but with such a short time before the weekend of the climb we have no choice but to go. The accommodation had NOTHING premium. Renovated but located at the top of the only building and very far from the facilities. It is obvious that it is one of the worst in the club. Answer at the reception: "yes, it's premium and the club is full, we can't change anything about it anyway". We weren't the only ones complaining. This famous “premium” option offered to us should have cost almost double the “classic”. We have several times expressed our disappointment by email and we have never been answered. Customer service comments found in online reviews are therefore only lies when “Linda” explains to us that she will take our comments into account. We will never set foot in a Belambra again in our lives. - beach showers broken “since yesterday” and never repaired - no direct access to our terrace to at least undress and remove the sand - not even a doormat before accessing the accommodation - 3 floors of extremely slippery stairs. My wife, I and our 5 year old son all fell here at least 1x during the stay - central bar of the club closed but “it will open soon” when asking to buy a beer - at the beach snack bar: 30 min wait for 2 customers. We ended up getting our lunch at the local convenience store - multiple dishes that were no longer available when we were at the 1st half hour of the meal schedule - cafeteria with extremely tight tables: crush guaranteed - lack of cutlery, dirty cutlery - mosquitoes galore (normal for the coast), not a mosquito net - a flagrant lack of staff for such a large club - Wifi offered but non-existent in the accommodation, slow and weak elsewhere - no mid-stay cleaning. This was supposed to be included - NO management response to problems encountered - at the swimming pool: 20 minutes after opening, no deckchair left - “guaranteed parking”: 3 places close to the 10 apartments where we were staying. The rest at the other end of the club - exorbitant price for the level of range + employees always polite, smiling and ready to help (besides reception) + beautiful location, direct access to the beach + the swimming teacher at the top. His technique works wonders!
