My wife and I are visiting Croatia for the first time and have several stops on the trip. Our third stop was on Hvar. Not wanting to be right in the middle of Hvar Town, we chose Hotel Fortuna in a small village called Milna. We had a very lovely time. The property is family owned, and has tremendous service and a super friendly team. There is a pool, it is manicured with beautiful flowers and plants, and the best is it's right on the Adriatic. A delicious breakfast, as well as a reasonable, but delicious restaurant. During checkout we were treated to a free shuttle back to the Port to catch our ferry, but also gifted a bottle of Posip Wine from the family. Yesterday we rented a couple of beach chairs and umbrella right on the sea. There is a convenience store run by a very helpful and friendly family next door. It's walking distance to many other restaurants on the sea. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone visiting the area to stay at Hotel Fortuna. As a bonus, they also recommended a great taxi service with a gentleman named Damjan who was also friendly and very helpful.

Wonderful location and friendly family run hotel Thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay at this hotel, it’s a great location and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. The beach next to the hotel is wonderful for swimming and has reasonably priced beds unlike other places nearby, there’s also a good 5k flat run you can do along the coast - unusual in such a hilly island. Loads to do nearby so get a car if you can if not then there’s a taxi service that runs from the hotel and is always present.Food was also a plus we tried all the restaurants along the front in the village, all were good and had their own good points but the food in the hotel topped them all

Travelling as two mature-age couples, we picked this hotel based on the excellent reviews that it had received, the price and the fact that it was a little out of the way of the party atmosphere of Hvar. As it turned out, Hvar was quiet during our stay (1 and 2 May 2011), but we still appreciated the tranquil atmosphere of Milna (about 5 km from Hvar). The hotel is family-run, and was being re-developed while we were there, so there weren't many people staying there. We were treated like royalty. Rooms were modern and very clean. The owner, Jurica, offered to transport us into Hvar, so the distance from Hvar wasn't a problem. Jurica's charming daughters also helped in the business as well as providing translation (they learn English at school and are keen to practise). I understand that the hotel refurbishment is now finished - I would love to see it.

Nice room, though be prepared for a relatively soft mattress. A family run hotel, the morning breakfast is well done and thorough, and included in your room price. I found the staff to be helpful, but if you’re looking for or need warm and fuzzy, you might consider elsewhere as they could come off as coarse for those who are sensitive. I personally found them to be satisfactory. Food other than breakfast is consider to be average.

Hvar it's a small island, which means the hotel is as well located as it could be. Also, the free parking is quite nice. The breakfast is amazing and the room is quite comfortable and spacious. Also, a word of appreciation for the amazing receptionist that received us (sorry for not remembering your name!).

Such a great hotel right on the beach. We had a room with sea view which was perfect. Really good room with great shower. Very good breakfast with everything you could want. All the staff were very helpful and so friendly. Ate in the hotel restaurant on our first evening which was also good with plenty of choice.

Terrible Hotel and customer service. Don’t stay here. I made my reservation and then the owner’s son picked me up, drove me there, and when I entered the reception he told the employees there to not listen to me and not give me my room. Perhaps because he is a spoiled junior who doesn’t know a thing about Hospitality and wanted to prove his power and authority. Leaving me alone, in a dark part of the island, with no taxis, no hotels, no-where to go, after calling the hotel two times and doing my reservation/ booking. Completely unacceptable. Don’t stay in this hotel. Go elsewhere.

I can’t recommendation this gorgeous family run hotel enough. Located in a lovely, quiet part of the island but super near Hvar town (10 min drive away), this place is a hidden gem. The hotel is owned by the Tudor family who were so accommodating and helpful. Particularly thankful for the hotel’s shuttle service - €10 per journey rather than the €20 other taxi companies were quoting. The food and drinks were all delightful. I would come back in a heartbeat and can’t wait to do so!

This was the best experience in Croatia. This is a lovely Boutique hotel manager by the family. It was absolutely incredible. The location is amazing, right on the beach and the food was super delicious. The staff are fantastic, so helpful and friendly. I will definitely go back. I give them 10 stars
