My cousin and I spent another amazing 11 nights in the Sheraton Miramar Resort in September (and apologise for the lateness of this review, due to personal circumstances). We were lucky enough to find this hotel in September 23, and had to return in September 24 . The Sheraton is a beautiful hotel, spread around lovely gardens and lagoons, and bordering the beach. Photographs on their website do not exaggerate the setting! We found all facilities to be within easy reach of our room, with pleasant walks to each. However, on occasion we required some assistance and the concierge team were always on hand with their buggy when requested. One of us requires some assistance on occasion due to disability and this hotel more than facilitated our needs. The Sheraton staff are exemplary, from the reception team on arrival to the concierges on departure - and everybody else in between! We spent lazy days on the beaches or by the pool, some time in the Spa, evenings on the terrace and a couple of evenings in El Gouna Centre - a short Tuc Tuc ride away and well worth a visit. We met some lovely people at the hotel whose guests iare of diverse nationalities including Belgian, German, British and Egyptian The main restaurant, Miramar, is buffet style and has theme nights where food from various countries is served, as well as an Italian restaurant, La Piscina, and, our favourite, The Orient 1001 serving Mediteranian and Middle Eastern dishes. On both visits we have found the Sheraton to be amazingly clean, welcoming and comfortable with high standards of service both front of house and behind the scenes and commend everybody involved. Our special thanks are sent to Haytham and all the concierges and security team at the front door, Mahmoud, Hassan and Ali at the Beach Bar, the beach team - Mohammed, Ragab and Coco, all in the Orient 1001 including the chef and the lovely lady who makes the most amazing arabic bread!. Mohammed Ahmed - you're amazing, and Mai - so good to see you and we hope you are doing well on reception. If we could list you all, we would but suffice to say we appreciate each and every one of the wonderful team at the Sheraton. There are a few nice shops in the Arcade within the hotel, and Michael - you're a star! Lastly, thanks also to Omar Younis who facilitated our requests and made it easy and also to Simone Hoech - it was a pleasure to meet you and we look forward to our next trip - roll on September. Thanks a million to you all. W & L, (Scotland)
