Friendly receptionist on check in; very pleasant room with terrace (No 3) heating not working but reception sorted that out quickly. Only one bedside lamp which was rectified next morning when request was made. Bed comfortable and plenty of hot water in large bathroom Restaurant area overlooking sea was very pleasant; staff friendly and helpful - good menu and food well cooked and presented - so much so that we ate there several times which is unusual for us!! Only negative - No hot chocolate sachet with tea and coffee and paper tissues would be acceptable Certainly would recommend this hotel

Classic old style hotel in a fantastic position. Had room in main hotel with no view. Room was clean with nice bathroom but room had mould issues and not the warmest. One morning no heating at all. Breakfast adequate but hot offering not as good ad should be. Some money been spent on public areas but needs a lot more spending to bring it into tge 21st century. Seem to be sending money on cabins within grounds.

Stayed for 4 nights. Had room with sea view which was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Had breakfast at the hotel, which was very good, but not dinner. Dinner menu tries to be something it's not and does not have a balanced selection. Had dinner each evening in the Ancient Mariner, which we could not fault. Good service, good selection and generous portions. If staying and you are given a room in the block built on, be aware there is no lift and access is by a narrow staircase after going through the bar. Sound proofing in the rooms is very poor. You can hear peoples conversations in rooms around you and the noise of their flushing toilet and running water.

We visited Le Strange over the Easter weekend and left wishing we’d listened to the people who we know who had been before and wouldn’t return. Two courses for £15.50 from a soup, three main courses and some desserts. While the soup was ‘ok’ the mains were poor. Beef was 3 thin slices, 3 roast potatoes and a small selection of vegetables. We were waiting for additional vegetables and Yorkshire puddings but they didn’t appear. Desserts were average at best. I’m really surprised to read some of the reviews on here as the restaurant was virtually empty apart from us, which speaks volumes. Save your money, go to Macdonalds.

Thank you to all the staff at Le Strange Hotel, yet again we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and leave with contemplation of our next visit. From the warm welcome to the excellent restaurant via a good night’s sleep we love it here. This is how to run a hotel, lots of safe parking, excellent wine list and simply stunning food- consistently! So handy for the beach and a stroll to Hunstanton. Sea view superior double room which had a super king bed with plenty of space to sit and enjoy the sea view from the sitting area. Oceans of hot water and soft towels. My fiancée who is a vegetarian found the menu reflected her needs and was thoughtfully created so often the vegetarian ‘option’ is an after-thought, not here! Two nights B and B with two course diner included is a great combination and excellent value, we really looked forward to our evening meal knowing the quality and attention to detail never fails to impress.

Lots of positives - lovely hotel in fabulous location for coast walks. We asked for and received a nice quiet room with the bonus of a spectacular sea view. Great breakfast and efficient service. Comfort got a star less from our perspective because the room was just so hot (you could adjust the radiator in the room but not the towel rail in the bathroom which was on full blast constantly). One of our group was also disappointed that he wasn't allowed porridge instead of cereal in addition to a cooked breakfast, which seemed a bit mean. However, we did enjoy our stay and would stay again.

We have had a delicious Sunday lunch here today. The food was excellent. The cod was so fresh and everything was cooked to perfection. The Yorkshire Puds that came with the roast were enormous. Two of us have a lactose intolerance and we were very well accommodated; which was much appreciated. A really friendly team working there and a cracking view. Thank you!

Excellent location for a sea view stay, a short walk to the beach. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful and there are many sitting areas, many with sea views. The room was spacious and well equipped. Superb breakfast. Recommend highly.
