Tunxi/Liyyang Old Streets | 0.24km from Qianxi Pavilion
Located in the national historical and cultural protection block - the core protection area of Tunxi Old Street (Zhongma Road Bar Street), Yongxin Lane, you will be quiet and return to nature when you enter, and you will find everything you expect when you go out.The inn covers an area of more than 1,000 square meters. Chengjingtang belongs to the district-level cultural relics protection unit in Tunxi District, Huangshan City. It is a model homestay demonstration project signed by the Huangshan Municipal Government for the comprehensive upgrading and renovation of Tunxi Old Street. The inn was carefully built by senior tourism and design professionals after two years and tens of millions of painstaking efforts. It consists of four Huizhou old houses (Chengjingtang, Weiluju, Xishe, Huishantang) and garden waterside pavilions. The combination of courtyards is reconstructed, the birds are singing and the flowers are fragrant, and the scenery is pleasant, showing the simplicity and cultural luxury of the Hui style. There are a variety of room types in the inn, highlighting the concept of green and environmental protection design, and all equipment and facilities are more than ultra-luxury hotels. The hotel, bookstore and tea house, piano chess, calligraphy and painting, coffee baking, private kitchen restaurant and other ancillary facilities are all available. Walking in it, it seems like a world away, making people linger and forget to return.Have you ever tried to relax in a hotel after a busy day, only to be disappointed to find it boring and monotonous. In Courtyard No. 8, which only smells the fragrance of tea but does not talk about sorrows and joys, you will feel that low-key luxury is no longer as simple as a stereotyped luxury hotel piled up with luxury goods.

A rare gem of a hotel . The decor was blended with art , culture , greenery ,nature into a historical old estate . Its very beautifully articulated ,from the moment we step into the compound , our eyes àre feasting at the beautiful setup at hall , the room , the gardens , terrace , passage way , lightings and everything . Despite being in the heart of thne properous tunxi old street , within the hotel compound its peacefully quiet and serene .

This is one of the cutest home stays! The design and decor make you feel like you’re staying at an upscale bed and breakfast right in the middle of the town. The owners are so sweet and make sure you have everything you need. The room had heated floors which was amazing and the bathroom was even decorated nicely. The room was so cozy and very quiet. The resort is right on the Main Street but back a little bit so you don’t hear and hustle and bustle. It’s the perfect getaway while visiting Huangshan. The breakfast was made fresh and so delicious!

I really love hotels with a sense of life in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai and Anhui. The hotel is near Tunxi Old Street and Liyang Water Street. I personally think the room is better than the photo, very clean, the hair dryer is Dyson, and afternoon tea and fruit are given as a gift.
Environment: The environment is very good, which can make people relax all of a sudden. With trees as company, you can hear birds singing when you open the window. The air is fresh and accompanied by a faint fragrance of flowers and plants. It smells very good. It is very friendly to friends who like photography.
Facilities: The hotel is a three-story Hui-style building. My npy and I like it very much. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the room are absolutely beautiful.
Service: The lady is very patient. She took the luggage and communicated with the phone throughout the whole process. The problem was also handled in a timely manner.
Hygiene: Very clean and warm.
Added value: You can sit in the outdoor yard when the weather is warm. You can order their signature coffee in the afternoon. It is very nice. The products of Yikeshu are very attentive to the environment. It is very pleasant to drink a little wine with friends in the evening.
Price: I personally think that the cost performance is still very high and worth recommending

Facilities: The color matching of the furniture and facilities in the room makes people feel very cozy, and the layout is comfortable and reasonable! Until I saw the mini bar and shower room, 5 stars fell directly 3 😂
Service: The front desk service is as always, textbook-like and procedural and thoughtful. I booked a special premium king-size bed room, imagining that the actual room I stayed in would also have such a lush mountain view as in the picture... I was given another room on the grounds that the room hygiene had not been completed. I said I could wait, I had plenty of time! But in exchange, I still got another room, under the name of: upgraded to deluxe king-size bed room 907 (the king-size bed is actually two beds put together). There was a gap of nearly 1 cm between the door and the door frame, and the lights in the room or corridor could be seen from the door gap. Later I learned that the hotel consists of two buildings, and the special premium king-size bed room with a mountain view is generally on the side of the back building facing the mountain. Since it is now in the low season, the back building is closed!
Environment: Actually it is quite good. The driveway in front of the lobby is constantly flowing with cars during the morning rush hour. It must be the main road. It is just close to Huangshan Railway Station. When sleeping at night, you can occasionally hear the sound of train whistles. Other than that, it is quite quiet.
Hygiene: There are some old marks on the sofa and pillows, but it is clean otherwise.

I rarely write reviews, especially so serious, I must praise the boss and excellent homestay with my heart, and the feeling of staying in will give the majority of friends a real reference. I am even more fortunate to have found this treasure hotel in many homestays. I was very satisfied with my stay on the last night in Huangshan!
1) The service details during the stay are particularly good. The boss contacted in advance and the reply was fast. The room was large with floor-to-ceiling windows facing the lake view. The room was very quiet and clean. The bed was very comfortable.
2) It is very close to Tunxi Old Street and Liyang Old Street, and it will be there in a few minutes;
3) The booked river view room, the boss also upgraded, the bathtub is near the window, and it is very comfortable to take a bath at night after climbing the mountain;
4) Breakfast is simple to watch the plate, the mood is particularly good, and also sent freshly ground coffee, better than the outside store, the little brother's craftsmanship yyds.
Finally, I hope that the boss's business is booming, and I will definitely stay at your home next time I come here. ~

This hotel is renovated. I was worried about the outdated facilities, but after arriving, I found that the lobby, restaurant, and rooms are much better than before. There is also a laundry room, so you can dry your clothes directly after washing. It is very convenient. I drove here. There are many parking spaces and you can park anywhere for free. It is very close to the old street area in the city center. It only takes a few minutes to drive there. You can park in the parking lot of Liyang Old Street or He Street and then go shopping and eat. I am very happy 😃

The Spring Festival family trip was really satisfying
I have always been worried about the poor hygiene conditions of the B&B, but I feel that it is not worse than a four-star hotel, and most importantly, it is very humane.
It is convenient to travel, the old street is just outside the back door of the B&B, and it is also convenient to eat.
I chatted with the proprietress and she said that the decoration was really thoughtful. The room is made of pure solid wood, which is more environmentally friendly.
The breakfast is also very exquisite, with bamboo shoot noodles and egg buns
If I really have to say one thing, it's that the water level is a bit low, but there's nothing we can do about it, this is probably how it is in the countryside.

NNaomiOur stay at the J. Mountain hotel was beyond our wildest dreams. I rarely leave reviews but our 3 nights here were so stunningly exceptional that we felt driven to express our gratitude and appreciation for the stellar staff, service, and beautiful setting of this hidden gem of a hotel.
The service was without exception some of the best if not the best I have ever experienced at a hotel, and I travel often, having visited over 20 countries in the last few years alone and stayed at many beautiful and well-known five-star hotels and brands. Despite being a very young hotel (having just opened in September) J. Mountain Hotel holds its own and then some. It began months before our stay when we reached out to the hotel on WeChat to ask for guidance on equipment, tickets, and transportation. As we are visiting from America the area isn’t necessarily the easiest to access or plan for. Responses were almost immediate no matter when we reached out and always went above and beyond. For instance, my mother is nearly 70 and although very active was worried about slipping and falling while hiking in icier conditions; they offered to even purchase crampons for us should we wish although they advised us we would not need them for the time of year we were here (they were right).
While here their thoughtfulness included texting us updates on and warning us about inclement weather while we were hiking around Huang Shan (there is cell service), drying and fluffing our wet gear when we returned from a particularly wet hike, and most astounding of all resolving an incredibly stressful issue we had with an upcoming flight that had been canceled (they suggested and secured alternative means of transport to a second city and then arranged for a different flight with the airline directly).
We must specifically give our thanks to Hotel Manager Ryan, who is young but clearly extremely talented and excels in his role. He not only oversaw and proactively sought to help us on every front but was responsible for resolving our flight emergency. He also clearly had directed staff to help us to their utmost ability at all times, including having breakfast and dinner ready for and served to us at the times we requested. Ryan also personally met us and gave us a tour of the hotel and its history and design, as well as accompanied us to the art gallery and an evening tea tasting held in the gorgeous tea house on the grounds. He checked in with us every day and night and made sure everything was to our liking.
Driver Wang Kai was our personal chauffer throughout the stay and was extremely courteous, professional, and attentive; he was always there to pick us up and see us off at multiple locations throughout our trip and not once were we ever allowed to wait. He even brought us hotel slippers and large down jackets to change into out of our soaking wet gear when picking us up at the end of a hike. When we said we did not think we would need some of the gear they offer their guests, we noticed he packed it in the car just in case we changed our minds and needed them later.
I could literally go on and on but wanted to make sure I left room to appreciate how beautiful the hotel itself is and how much attention to detail has gone into its design and planning; at almost every turn we discovered something that added to the ease, enjoyment, and comfort of our stay. J. Mountain Hotel, thank you for one of the best experiences we have had in many, many years.
CCooldayBaiyun hotel is located in the middle of Huangshan mountain. We had a comfortable stay here. The hotel staff, Ms Xiao Yang, is very sympathetic and friendly, giving us good advices and travel information during our stay. The hotel provides a lot of snacks and water before our departure on the next day. Even a free tasty coffee and milk tea after breakfast. The buffet dinner and breakfast is a lot of varieties and very delicious! I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
GGregMII chose the 0517 hotel after reading great reviews, and they were not wrong! Starting with the simple things, the location is so convenient being in the part of town nearest the park’s south entrance. You can walk there in ~15 minutes, passing several options for a street food breakfast along the way. There is also a good selection of restaurants for dinner, and a very nice bakery to pick up snacks for the day. The long distance buses arrive at a bus station a few km away, but the hotel will arrange the pickup for you, free of charge.
The hotel’s design in the rooms and shared spaces is very modern & clean, in a style appreciated by westerners. The rooms are on the small side, but have everything you need.
Leaving the best point until last – the highlight here is the customer service provided by the owner Timo and his staff. 11/10! Nothing is too much trouble, they will help you with everything from trip planning, to organizing local shared taxi to surrounding areas, to storing luggage, or whatever. On both the nights there, I had a long, friendly chat with him and a couple of others over a drink in the evening. Felt more like being his personal guest than being in a hotel. HIGHLY recommended!
LLaotanshancaixThe accommodation environment is very good. The room is large and clean. The facilities are all new. The check-in experience is particularly good. We live on the third floor. There is no elevator in the B&B. The owner is very enthusiastic to help us move our luggage. The service is super good!
The owner is very nice. The driver of the carpool from Hongcun to Tangkou did not send us to the door of the B&B. The owner came to pick us up. He also sent us to the entrance of Huangshan at 5 o'clock the next day. The boss really worked hard. The driver from Huangshan to the high-speed rail station was also contacted by the boss. He is really responsible
We had dinner at the B&B. All five dishes were delicious and the price was very affordable. I was very satisfied
The scenery in front of the B&B is very good and it looks good for taking pictures
GGuest UserHongcun Yushan mountain scenery house is convenienly located near the South Gate of Hongcun Scenic area. We booked courtyard B which is located outside and behind the main hotel complex with breakfast included. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable, and had a small courtyard, but unfortunately no garden chairs or table to sit outside. In hindsight we woud book another room in the main complex next time. It has a lovely open garden and plenty of outdoor seating. I contacted the hotel before our stay and managed by using a voice translator to connect with the staff on Wechat. A friendly staff member met us at the entrance to the scenic area and entry is free of charge when you stay at the hotel. The hotel staff don't speak any English, but they were very helpful and friendly and we got along fine using Wechat and other translators. I won't recommend eating dinner at the hotel as there are many local Chinese restaurants in the ancient village. The hotel offers a coffee shop in the lobby and has a number of options, like Americano, Latte etc. The coffee is very good, but I felt it was a bit pricey for the cup size. The hotel breakfast is Chinese with no Western options, and it is served in unique way in a tray. I enjoyed the breakfast, but my husband would have liked more western options. On our arrival the room was already pre-heated and the beds in the room were comfortable. It was snowing lightly when we arrived and there were umbrellas available in the room. They also provide vanity items. We visited just before the Chinese New Year tourist rush at the beginning of the holiday and this was a very good location and time to visit despite the cold weather. The ancient village was not too crowded and it was nice to walk around in the evenings and daytime with the hotel is situated conveniently right next to the South lake. Drone flying is allowed which can give drone flyers an aerial view of the village. Depending on your iterinary a one night stay is sufficient to visit Hongcun and the nearby Xidi ancient village then move on to another hotel at the foot or top of the mountain or Tunxi village. We enjoyed our stay and can recommend this hotel to travelers wanting a good hotel experience in Hongcun.
GGuest UserLocation = Great location. It is at Tangkouzhen. The hotel itself has a restaurant within its premise. There are mini markets nearby for you to stock up on snacks and other food stuff and beverage. It is about 30 minutes bus ride to Huangshan.
Cleanliness = Excellent. Everything is in order. It has a smart system where the drapes are opened and shut with a touch of a button. The rooms are spacious and everything you need in a room is there and there was not once we need to call the helpdesk. Service = Excellent. There is a manager who is very hospitable that gave us a lot of information on the food and weather and the preparation for the Huangshan trip. There is also a tour agent who helped to arrange for the transportation to and from Huangshan which is also very helpful and patient. Facilities = Excellent. There is a laundry room with dryer without additional charge. There is a massage service available in case you need it after Huangshan hike. The restaurant's food is tasty and reasonably priced. The staff were very helpful in helping us to book the transport to Tunxi and back. There were 5 of us so, if we used the taxi we would need to book 2 but they suggested and helped us to get a 7-seater. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay here.
VValeriiaA little walking distance from the commercial street and the park main entrance, but overall conveniently located, the rooms are big and clean. The hotel is new. The staff were all polite and helpful, also provided plenty of advice helping us plan the journey.
GGuest UserThis was the most expensive hotel in my whole China trip by far but it was also the best restaurant with amazing breakfast options. The room was just okay, not bad but not worth the price and it had no view from the room even though it is marked as Mountain View. It is also far (about 1 hour hike) away from the closest popular points to watch sunrise and sunset. I would consider a different hotel next time that is closer to the hiking route because it took us almost 8 hours to hike here after taking the Yuping cable way up. It was almost dark when we arrived at the hotel and we headed up the mountain at 9 am.
GGuest UserThe room was very clean and tidy, with a large bed and a small bed, which was very comfortable to sleep in. Floor heating throughout the house. No need to turn on the air conditioner at all. Perhaps the only thing you need to get used to is the need to lock the door when entering and exiting, but this is also a feature. After all, it is a house with a history of more than 400 years. The owner was very nice and polite. He helped us with our luggage and even took us to the village entrance. He was very welcoming throughout the whole process! Really full of details! Come again when you have the chance! In addition, the food is also very delicious, all freshly made without pre-preparation!
ZZiboerweikaailixiyaWhen I arrived at the station at 9pm, I had to ask the boss to pick me up. After calling the boss, the communication was very smooth. They discussed the next day's trip along the way, which was very atmospheric. The boss's assistant contacted Carpool and took charge of driving us into the mountains early in the morning. Fortunately, they had experience, otherwise it would have been troublesome for a bunch of people behind us.
The food is very simple and firm, and they take care of the taste. It's delicious!
