The room is a bit old, which is understandable because it is on the top of a mountain. But the service is very good. The lady is very enthusiastic and answers all your questions. You can watch the sunrise in the room and avoid the cold. If you are naked, you are already invincible.

Our stay in the Hotel was amazing. Everything was clean and well taken care of. The hike up to the bright peak is only 15 minutes to watch a beautiful sunrise. Breakfast is rich and varied. Our stay was especially wonderful because of the kind service provided by Xiao Yang. She was always available and very helpful to us and answered all of our many questions. She is an excellent hotel employee!

This was the most expensive hotel in my whole China trip by far but it was also the best restaurant with amazing breakfast options. The room was just okay, not bad but not worth the price and it had no view from the room even though it is marked as Mountain View. It is also far (about 1 hour hike) away from the closest popular points to watch sunrise and sunset. I would consider a different hotel next time that is closer to the hiking route because it took us almost 8 hours to hike here after taking the Yuping cable way up. It was almost dark when we arrived at the hotel and we headed up the mountain at 9 am.

Although the price is definitely a little high, it makes sense for a hotel situated on top of a mountain. The public areas were bright and spotless. The room I booked was comfortable and mostly clean. The bathroom did have bits of black on the ceiling. Can’t beat the location though, as it’s close to a great spot to watch the sunset/sunrise. Appreciate especially the helpful service and timely communication from Kai at the front desk, who was also kind enough to share his photography of the night sky. I was able to get a few cool shots at a scenic outlook he had recommended. Maybe because I went a little late, but the dinner buffet was pretty mediocre. Overall a very good stay. Would book again, but maybe choose other food options.

We were please to stay in your Hotel and can recommend this Hotel.  A very friendly check in! The receptionist was very kind and courteous. There was also directly the Agent who get in touch with us. Via WeChat he gave us a lot of information about the current weather in Huangshan Mountain, the times of the sunset, sunrise and was any time available via WeChat for other questions or support. Then he brought us the our room. Our room was very nice decorated and equipped with everything you need. It was also very clean. The most noticeable were the modern shower and toilet! We had a breakfast and dinner in the Hotel. Both of them was a Buffet with a large selection of different dishes with high quality. At this point a great thanks to the kitchen staff. This is the third time I have come to Huangshan in 20 years. This is a slightly regretful trip, mainly because I didn't encounter heavy snow and sea of ​​clouds. Fortunately, the experience of staying at Shilin Cliff House still adds a touch of color to this imperfect trip. I had already thought of giving up after looking at the weather forecast, but thinking about the hard-to-book Huaying, I still came to Huangshan. Yungu went up the mountain, walked and strolled, met the housekeeper at Mengbishenghua, and walked into the cliff house from the Qingliang Pavilion path. Pushing open the quaint wooden door to the yard, walking into the rest area converted from the temple, the puppy Beibei couldn't wait to rush to greet me. It is quiet everywhere, surrounded by fragrance, and a scene at every step, which is very pleasant. Take the elevator from the sixth-floor lobby to the second floor, and then take the exclusive elevator of Huaying to the room on the first floor. To be fair, the room is not big, but the view is invincible, and the large terrace has a 180° open view. The whole house is not cold at all, and the afternoon tea is also very special. The breakfast is a set meal, beautiful and exquisite, and sufficient. The only downside is that the noodles feel like they have been soaked in the soup for too long, and the texture is soft and tasteless. The housekeepers are very enthusiastic and always greet each other with a smile. If you have any needs, you can get the service in place with a WeChat message. However, it is recommended to add a device for up and down calls to Huaying's exclusive elevator, otherwise the housekeeper will ring the doorbell upstairs and the downstairs will not be able to respond whether it is suitable for door-to-door service. Shilin Cliff House is located in the Beihai Lion Grove Scenic Area. It takes about ten minutes to get to Monkey Viewing the Sea, which is suitable for watching the sunrise. Then there is Shixin Peak, which is more than 20 minutes on foot. It is not close to Yuping, Guangmingding, etc. Here, you can watch the sunset while eating dinner, lie on the bed to watch the stars, and soak in the bathtub to enjoy the mountain view... It is suitable for travelers who want to lie down and relax instead of walking all over Huangshan. Here, I realized my wish to sit on the bed and take pictures of the nebula, but the sudden thick clouds at four o'clock made the ending a little unsatisfactory. Just one night, I left in a hurry. First off, our fault, we didn't take note of the negative reviews of the service rendered in this hotel. It is a beautiful hotel, with amazing details and decorative accents. It is such a waste that the service standard is dismal. The lady at the reception was very dismissive when we checked in, after our long day of hiking. We managed to descend huangshan and reach the hotel about 6pm. She coldly informed us we have to have our dinner (before 8pm) and hotspring (before 9pm). We really scrambled and otherwise, you won't have food, and they would not allow us to use the hotspring voucher for the next day. Next, it might be a ”hotspring” hotel (throw away all preconceived thoughts of onsens), but u are only allowed one use a day, and it is only available from 3pm to 9pm. Next, apparently there is some transport restrictions for this hotel. So you can't just go out of the hotel to the town to eat and come back as there are specific timings u can go out or come into the hotel, via their transport team. You are basically holed in the hotel, which is fine for just one day, but not for longer stays. The food is acceptable, but they really meant it when they say it is a self-service buffet. The lady manager is especially surly. I don't think she was targeting us, she was equally dismissive to all (I guess that is some consolation) The staff delivered us 4 bottles of water while looking at his phone, no eye contact in any way (but this might just us being boomers by expecting some form of hospitality) The lady at the noodle station asked us to get our own soup bowl, while she continued with her douyin surfing.

Perfect stay at J.Mountain for family trip. Available in Trip.com. Our stay period in summer season (consider off peak?). Prior to stay, the staff are very prompt in helpful Q and A. Services are exceedingly good, excellent and accomodating. All staff are friendly, approachable, and careful to details. Sharing local culture and history, and place of interest. Outstanding concierge service. Our stay include Tea appreciation, sumptuous dinner (2 choices), and hearty breakfast (2 choices). We were given complimentary drinks at bar, and alternative dishes to met dietary requirement. Very useful that hotel provide Hotel-Train station transfer. service, and other short distance ride to Huangshan hiking entrance (saved a lot of time). Staff helped us booked our Cableway tickets which saved us time to queue for tickets and avoid buying wrong tickets. Very spacious open concept, clean and modern room and furnishings like king size bed, large Sofa, round Table TV. Balcony with lush tranquillity view of nature full of mountainous greenery and waterfall. Sound of nature (cicada) and fortunately room comes with good sound proofing sliding door. Bath tub, shower area, and WC with build in sensor and biget spray. Standard Amenities are provided. Electric source is China 2-pin 3-pin plug standard and USB. Hotel is located within the Huangshan park (?). Saving us time in getting clearance at Park security office as the Driver brought us through the security checks with ease. We felt like VIP. Hotel is a short drive away to nearest cableway (called ‘hot spring’ cableway etc.). Do bring rain coat as weather up in the mountain is unpredictable. It rained when we reached up at ‘Yuping’ cableway. Hotel staff offered us rain coat. We have a skilful driver to transport us safely form our Hotel-Train station transfer.

I really pushed this Huangshan. Who lives and knows. Although the room is very ordinary, there is a car directly to the ropeway in the morning. The day with the most people on National Day, we got up a little early and there was no queue for the whole trip. I didn't eat down the mountain, the restaurant has been rested, and the front desk also asked the kitchen to help cook noodles and fried rice. All the service staff are very good and help with luggage. The elderly and children are very satisfied. I have recommended it to all my friends when I come back. It is good and cheap! I ate three meals in it, the taste was very good, the price was not expensive, I was really satisfied.
