"Continuation review: The showers can be grim, they have shower body/hair wash at a scarcity. Thailand does come with plenty of livestock, here the insect kind are plentiful, some mosquitos, plenty of drain flies and some cockrach, befitting trio. Remember bring your own bath towels too. The hostel does provide a small locker with its own key, enough to fit a small backpack. The dorm room is well air conditioned, albeit it's upto the room guests whether it's on all day or not. In my dorm room, all beds had a power socket The whole hostel has one fridge, one microwave and some clean drinking water by a dispenser. Some tables nearby too.. If you just need a place to rest after a session at Bangla Rd, here is ideal if on a budget."

22morrowsworldMy initial thought on this accommodation business is in some ways positive. If it is viewed purely as a 'hostel' with an associated coffee shop, then it definitely has attributes (and I'll come back to those later). But if taken at face value on the basis of its tariff cost and amenities, both real and indicated, then there are several problems with it. The first is the way the premises is represented on the Trip com platform. Photographs of the double bedroom include one of a bathroom. The attached text description and its context makes the plain implication that the room has an ensuite bathroom, which it does not. If little scrutiny is applied when reading the description, this fact will escape the readers attention. Anyone looking to make a reservation quickly can easily be misled (inadvertently?) into believing that this is a 'hotel' style room. Many hostels do offer rooms with ensuite bathrooms after all. The bathroom is communal and is inconveniently located on the ground floor. Rooms are above this. A second related criticism is the room size description - 18 m sq is quoted. The room has dimensions of 3 x 3.5 m. That is, about 10 m sq ! Although late February is still peak season in Phuket, it has to be said that the room tariff of almost $60 AUD per night is exorbitant. It may be considered acceptable for a 18 m sq hotel style room, given the circumstances, but a room of this kind at this particular locality ought to be offered at a lower price. Having said this, I concede that the reservation was made late and in haste. Now onto the good things. The 10 m sq double bed room has old but high quality wooden furniture which serves its purpose well. The air conditioning is responsive and strong There is a large kitchen next to the bathroom/wash basin (trough). It's equipped with a large fridge, sink, cutlery etc as well as a coffee maker ( + ground coffee). A delicious banana cake was offered to guests. Clothes can be washed and dried via a coin operated machine. Other attributes include the woman owner/ manager who has a professional approach and an attitude very well suited to the hospitalality jndustry. The coffee shop also makes decent coffees and ham n cheese croissants.

TTamuGreat location. Free coffee and water refill. Also make your own breakfast ( toast and jam) free 😀 Good value. Bunks were private ( with curtains) and own light and power outlet and also large personal locker with key. Quite secure. No complaints here 👍

BBjörn AbroadThey have a bad habit of turning off their water. I was just now having a shower, shaving my head, and the water in the shower stopped. I had to walk downstairs to the reception with nothing but a towel and soapy head to ask them to turn on the water. they did so. however... When I exited the shower to brush my teeth, the water had stopped again! I waited at the reception but it seems they were hiding from me. I called The hotel number and they came downstairs. I questioned why they keep turning the water off. they just apologized and turned it back on. I don't shower profusely long. why does this hotel have a problem turning on their water? I think I know the answer... Because they have a leaky tap! I think that instead of repairing the tap, they'd rather just turn off the water...

EEkaterina.TI really like that hostel and booked it for the second time. The place is the best, everything is really near. I lived in the room for 6. Beds are private, clean and comfortable I have to notice: due to the air con timetable it may be really hot inside the room from 10 to 16, like 30+ degrees. Actually I'm ok with it, but for someone it can be difficult The shower is good, there is hot water, it's clean and I haven't seen any insects at all. One bed is really near the toilet, but I had a different one I also liked the kitchen, common balcony and pool zone. Noone actually uses it, but it's lovely to sit near I only have one complain: phone is not working, I couldn't contact reception. Once I forgot my key (my bad, but) and had to wait 5 hours outside until someone comes. I think someone should be available on the phone for emergencies. I checked if the phone available the next day, but it wasn't In general I love the place and would stay longer

TTamuLocated between two bars, the door has the Sundiva logo on it to help guide you. I think most people who come to Sundiva have trouble finding it because of its small entrance, but it gets wider once you go inside. Great place overall!
