Very pleased with our stay! Excellent location beachfront. Beautiful views of Diamond Head Crater. Super excellent location to be in the middle of all shops, beaches and restaurants . Short walks to explore & enjoy up and down the streets and beaches! All staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Clean and well maintained. Great assistance with booking activities. My daughter took a surf lesson. Beachside conveniently had plenty of water activities to enjoy with an area to rent paddle boards , surf boards, floats, chairs & umbrellas. The restaurants inside the resort were excellent and convenient with outdoor seating and ocean views! ABC general store on lower level to shop for anything needed from drinks, snacks, beach towels, souvenirs, sunscreen etc…The resort also offers free activities that are on a schedule week by week, such as yoga, hula lessons, Lei & bracelet making, vow renewals & ukulele lessons! My 15yo daughter took a ukulele lesson, then shopped around and bought one to bring home!!! We have absolutely no complaints about our stay! Will absolutely be coming back in the future. Our flight home was a late evening flight & our check out time was 11:00am, so the bell hop service held our luggage for us so we could enjoy the rest of our last day on the beach. Then we decided to top off our last day to pamper ourselves with a spa treat, which is located on the top floor of the resort. I got a massage. My daughter got a facial. Afterwards we got to go to the outside roof top and enjoy the awesome view feeling refreshed & relaxed. I can go on and on about the positives of this vacation stay. There were no negative issues!

The facilities, service, and spa are all very satisfying. When we told them about a family celebration, they even gave us a surprise service. The pool and beach have a calming atmosphere and are geared towards adults.

The hotel is in the center of Waikiki. A lot of shops and restaurants are nearby.I The beaches are 100 meters away. The famous hotels Moana Surfrider and Hyatt Regency are across the street. Royal Waikiki Center is a beautiful mall nearby. There are a lot of luxury retail stores and restaurants in the mall.

Stayed here for the second time. It was as good as before✧٩(ˊωˋ*)و✧ The hotel is on one side of Waikiki Beach, and you can walk to Waikiki Beach. On the other side is Ala Monma Shopping Center, which is just across the bridge. Next to the hotel is the Hertz car rental pick-up point, which is very convenient. Especially suitable for people who don't want to sleep lightly and don't want to be noisy by the Waikiki Beach. I booked a sea view room. Opposite is the pier where various boats are docked⛵️. The view is very good. You can see surfers in the distance in the morning🏄 The hotel has a gym, but not many people. There is a swimming pool and an infinity pool/hot pool on the 5th floor, and there are singers singing. The vibe is very feel, and you can relax on the lounge chair next to it. Finally, a small complaint, Ctrip says it's a big bed OR a twin bed, and I was 🌚 assigned a twin bed and it was fully booked that day and couldn't be changed... Everything else is fine, very much in line with expectations. The check-in was a bit slow. What was encouraging was that the check-in lady sternly rejected the Korean couple who cut in line and told them to go and queue up👍 (speechless

I saw in other reviews that the facilities were outdated, but overall, it felt new and the location is right in front of Waikiki Beach, so it's great for shopping and going to the ocean. I came to Oahu for shopping after being on another island, and the location is good enough to walk to this accommodation. The only regret, like other reviews, was that the soundproofing was really poor.

Our recent stay at Hilton Vacation Club The Modern Honolulu was a blend of highs and lows, with its strengths balanced by a few notable drawbacks. Situated in a reasonably good location and boasting cleanliness throughout, the hotel offered convenience and comfort in many aspects with a great pool and bar area including a separate adults pool. However, certain factors detracted from the overall experience, leaving us with mixed feelings about our time there. Let's start with the positives. The hotel's location, while not directly in the heart of the city hub, offered a decent compromise between convenience and tranquility. Close proximity to Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon provided easy access to beach activities and waterfront relaxation, adding a touch of serenity to our stay. Additionally, we found the hotel to be impeccably clean, with well-maintained facilities and a commitment to hygiene that was commendable. Despite these strengths, there were some notable downsides to our experience. The most significant inconvenience was the walking distance to the main city hub, which required a 15-20 minute walk to reach popular attractions, dining establishments, and shopping venues. While not a dealbreaker, this added a layer of logistical planning to our daily activities and limited spontaneity. Another issue that significantly impacted our stay was the persistent noise from the elevator. Unfortunately, our room was located close to the elevator, resulting in constant disturbances throughout the day and night. The loud mechanical noises disrupted our sleep and detracted from the overall ambiance of relaxation that we had hoped for. In summary, Hilton Vacation Club The Modern Honolulu offered a mix of positives and negatives during our stay. While the hotel's cleanliness and proximity to Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon were definite highlights, the walking distance from the city hub, the disruptive elevator noise, and having to pay for hotel parking detracted from the overall experience.

Booked another stay the Marriott, my go-to when heading to Oahu. Location is fantastic for the beach, and I don’t mind the walk to the International Marketplace or Royal Hawaiian Center for shopping and dining because you really get to see so much going on. Room was clean and surprisingly even though I booked a city view room, I still had a partial ocean view.

Convenient location.. Lawson has everything needed food, drinks, souvenirs and water fun toys. Room decent modern and big. Cabana was pricey but worth a try if u wanna stay by the pool and beach all day. Access to the beach is easy peasy.

Nice encapsulated venue. Everything you need in one spot albeit more expensive. As per usual Resort Fees added that don't enhance the stay. They have DVD rentals because the tvs are outdated (non-smart). Resort is still kinda worth it since other hotels in the area decrease in quality. I was only r here for a conference. Wouldn't stay as a traveler, might stay if i was a lazy couple or had a large family. The hotel deals only benefit members, if youre a non-member and went a deal...for example, reduced fee on rooftop lau (original price 230usd per person) you need to sit through a 2 hour timescam...time share to get a ticket for 50 usd. Views frim the beach and lagoon are nice.
