Das gemütliche Dorfhotel Kaltenhauser

We spent Christmas as a group of 8 (2 families) at Dorfhotel Kaltenhauser and enjoyed our stay so much. The inn is impeccably kept, the staff friendly and very attentive, and the food was wonderful. We came to ski and the accommodations for skiers was perfect with an inside boot room that provided a comfortable place to get your gear on (plus many boot warmers for your return!), and a separate ski room for your skis and poles. Our favorite part was the common area on the third floor where we spent our evenings hanging out. The inn itself is a short shuttle to the Mittersill gondola but is otherwise off the beaten path, meaning you will need a car/taxi to get to a downtown area. But don’t feel like you need to leave the inn if you’re looking for a good meal. Between beer, wine, soft drinks, snacks, and the 5 course meals, you won’t be disappointed or hungry. It was very clear to us that the owners had a lot of pride for this inn that has been in the family for generations. Everything is taken care of for you from the moment you walk in to the time you leave and you are treated like a true guest. We can’t think of a better place to have spent our Christmas holiday away from home.

Located just a kilometer from the G8 Panorambahn, this hotel is an ideal place to ski Kitzbuhel, and then take 30 minute day trips to Zell am See-Kaprun and Zillertal Arena. It is also a great place to stop if you arrive in Munich and are heading south to Dolomiti Superski.  We stayed at 5 different hotels on this 16 day trip, and this was our favorite. Excellent meals, service, and small town location. If you want to party, head to the town of Kitzbuhel. If your focus is skiing, try this 4* hotel.

Mooi hotel in rustig dorp. Met bijzonder goede keuken.elke dag keuze uit minimaal 3 gerechten van de kaart. Daarnaast staan voor en na gerechten gereed in buffet vorm en is zeer uitgebreid. Skilift is op loopafstand ca 15 min (mits je een locker neemt bij de lift)

Ich war mit meiner Freudin im Hotel und wir wurden rund um gut versorgt - wir sind viel in Hotels unterwegs, aber in diesem Hotel hat man das Gefühl - es kümmert sich einer, aber man hat auch seine Bereiche. Das Essen war 1A und die Buffets wurden immer wieder aufgefüllt. Danke für die super erholsamen Tag.
