Monwana

We had the most wonderful days in Monwana.The beautiful surroundings and lodges, the nicest staff, the splendid food, the perfect facilities, the best ranger and tracker, who managed to find all the animals (great and small) on our bucketlist, the fancy shop and last but not least the grazing inyala's on our doorstep made us feel more than welcome. THANK YOU for making our stay at Monwana unforgettable!!

In the first week of February this year we spent 4 days at Monwana Game Lodge in South Africa with 2 other couples. Recently MonWana was crowned the leading game lodge in the world. This crown is more than justified. Our stay at Monwana was pure perfection from the fantastic suites, the beautiful nature, the exquisite food, the tremendously caring staff to the fabulous game drives. The wild life is fantastic and present in great numbers. There is no doubt in our mind that we will return for more than once to this paradise on earth! Bart and Saskia Bendel

It certainly was not our first visit to Monwana but the lodge that more recently has been created and completed by the Monwana team is unique in any respect! You immediately feel at home in the Monwana family, surrounded by excellent service and continued care. Smiling all day for both the team and its guets is no miracle because the Reserve offers more wildlife than you can comprehend, the lodging is unique in respect of food, drinks, sleeping and supports the general feeling of coming home being far away for home! Having returned to the Netherlands yesterday, the only way to make up for the feeling of loss is to book a new stay.

What truly makes Monwana special is the incredible staff. From the moment we arrived, they treated us like family, making our stay feel warm and personal. The lodge itself is brand new, luxurious, and incredibly high quality. The rooms are spacious, with a private pool, both outdoor and indoor showers, and plenty of privacy. It’s the perfect combination of luxury and nature, and we couldn’t have asked for a better safari experience!

Our favourite place in the World! We have just returned home from the most incredible family holiday at Monwana. This was our first Safari and I can’t believe how lucky we were to find this stunning lodge and meet the most fantastic team of people, who made us feel so welcome, relaxed and made sure we had the best experience we possibly could. We have two teenagers and stayed for 5 nights, the family suite with it’s own pool and vehicle for game drives was perfect, our room and the main lodge were beautiful, great architecture and interiors, attention to detail throughout is off the scale. Meals were served in different locations and the food exceeded our expectations, that paired with the great wine selection and suggestions by Sommelier July made each evening very special. Thankyou to Evalyn and the chefs for noticing one of our likes and dislikes so early on during our stay and providing a different menu if needed for us. As for the Game Drives, we had the wonderful duo - Colin and Bennie, not only do these two go out of there way to track the animals you’d love to see, teach you about everything from stars, footprints, trees, flowers, and dung, they make the best gin and tonics in the best setting as the sun goes down creating the most amazing sunset you will ever see. We had a great time on our game drives, following 3 new male lions, observing 4 lion cubs, seeing 5 different leopards, an abundance of rhinos ……the list goes on. We have never been so sad to leave a place before, it was a very special family experience and we will never forget what extraordinary place Monwana is.

Absolutely Magical, We will be back. From the moment we stepped onto the property we were all in love. There were 6 of us including 2 children (10&13) we had the time of our lives. Nick, Mers, July, & Hudson were so welcoming & it instantly felt like home. We had the trip of a lifetime. The accommodation are spotless & not one detail is left out. It’s just heaven. Xoxo The Foxes
