Raptor Retreat Game Lodge

Raptor Retreat is an excellent and enjoyable getaway into the bush with the owners Sharmaine and Keith the perfect hosts and they are supported by very friendly and knowledgeable staff The chalets are well furnished and we loved sitting on the deck watching the elephants come to the waterhole We spent a few very enjoyable days in such beautiful and relaxing surroundings, We can highly recommend this lodge

Warm welcome, Very comfortable, very tranquil, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Our stay was very nice. Ps. It'd be nice to bring your gown with. And personally i prefer firmer pillows so try bringing one if you have the same issue as me. But overall I'm most definitely coming back.

I recently spent a wonderful weekend in this charming bushfield retreat. The peaceful surroundings were a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. The accommodation was cozy and beautifully blended into nature, making it easy to unwind. One of the highlights of my visit was the food. Each meal was a delightful experience and the breakfast was particularly memorable The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure every aspect of our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. I left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to escape into nature with great food and a welcoming atmosphere! ❤️

This was our first trip to Africa. After a lot of research, we booked our stay here for 6 days. Sharmin and Keith are amazing hosts. They responded to all our questions over whatsapp and walked us through everything. They helped us plan everything including airport pick up and drop offs. We had booked all inclusive stay. The game drives every day were amazing with Keith and Antony. They are amazing trackers. Coffe (with Amarula) in the morning game drive and a drink during the evening game drive were great. Constance and her assistants are fabulous chefs. Our three meals every day were well planned and delicious. Our kids are very picky eaters and they loved the food as well. Sharmin helped us plan and arrange a road trip one day for the Panorama drive including the God's Window. We are glad we made the trip. The drive was well worth it. The cabin (Hippo) we stayed at was large with great bathroom and open Patio. Every day some animal or other walked past our cabin. It was fun to watch Elephants, Giraffes, Impalas, and many birds from our patio. The internet is available at the main lodge. the cabin itself had no internet, TV or Wifi. It was jarring at first but then we realized that we were truly plugged off and relaxing during our stay because od that. We all literally had tears when we said good buy after our trip. Keith himself dropped us off at the airport and gave us warm hugs. Dont go by the tough reviews some reviewers have left for Keith. You are in the jungle with dangerous animals around. His rules are to keep you safe. Relax, follow the rules, enjoy the food and game drives and you will have the best time. If we ever take the trip to Africa again, we will go back to this place for sure. Tip: Book directly with the Lodge. The Lodge is well fitted and tastefully designed. The staff were friendly and i had a good rapport with Sharmaine and Keith. The meals were good and the game drives were excellent

A wonderful location and venue where the staff take such great care of you and make every effort to make it a special and memorable stay for you. I stayed in the lodge which was lovely, clean, very comfortable and overlooked the bush. The meals during the course of the day were extra special and thoroughly enjoyable. The game drives were awesome and an opportunity to learn more about tracking skills. Would highly recommend this venue and really is worthy of a visit.
