I cannot recommend Kapama enough. We stayed at Southern Camp Doyle our honeymoon and had the best time there. The staff went above and beyond to provide the best service to us. We loved the boma dinner and every meal we had was delicious with great options. The beautiful staff even sung and danced for us and popped a bottle of champagne to celebrate our honeymoon. Our waitress Beatrice, bar staff Rea and our Guide/Tracker Busami & Manuel did everything they could to ensure everything was perfect for us. The service at Southern Camp was 5 star! We even did the lions den sleep out and get to see under the stars and have a 5 star culinary experience. We also visited the spa which was such a luxurious experience and a must do while you visit! This all inclusive experience is exceptional, great drink options and available to you at anytime! If you’re visiting SA you must stay at Kapama! We cannot to wait to return, and will absolutely be recommending it to all of our friends and family!

My friends and i stayed at the Southern Camp for 3 days. The whole trip was just amazing. Selbi picked us up from the airport. He is very knowledgeable and has a fantastic sense of humour. We all loved him on our safari. Trevor was also good on the look out for animals. Selbi and Trevor worked well as a team. Our accommodation was outstanding. Very luxurious. Monkey's visited us at the pool. Antlers were everywhere. The food was just amazing. We had special dietary requirements. The taste and presentation was outstanding. The chef would come and speak to us everyday on our thoughts. The servers always checked if we were ok. Kapama made us extremely welcome. They went above and beyond with everything. I will definitely be going back in a few years.

I can't say enough good things about Kapama Private Game Preserve. The whole experience from beginning to end wad excellent! If you are looking for a 5 star experience this is the place.

Amazing safari -plenty of animals and great service and guides. Also very convenient pick up and transfer to lodge from Hostpruit airport by safari jeep - with no long minibus transfers. Literally exit the airport cross the road and immediately in the reserve and start seeing animals, yet still in the middle of nature.

Kapama has ALL of the pieces of a 5-star experience puzzle, but can’t seem to put them together. We checked in, gorgeous reception, amazing rooms…..NO hot water for a whole day. Our game drives were amazing, even in the rain, EXCEPT, the ponchos they provided were so beat up they weren’t waterproof!!?? Food was good, but always served with WAY more than we ordered. The food waste was stunning. Our first dining experience was fantastic with that exception, but then a family checked in and the kitchen was now Kosher and we were not allowed back in the dining room. We had meals in a different place each meal. Sounds exciting, right? Except, it ******, because the way we found out each time was we would go to the last location we dined and we would get a scowl and a “oh, no” you’re eating in such and such this time. Zero communication. Each location more disorganized than the last. To top off the dining experience, they had one little Bluetooth speaker they brought to each location that had a playlist of FOUR songs on repeat. Mind numbing and maddening. Management came to speak to us and we pointed out the music situation and she admitted she had no idea it was happening and the solution was to turn the music down. Attention to detail was the problem with everything. The manager discussed our concerns with us and only provided platitudes. I would be remiss if I did not mention how great our guide, tracker and butler were; without them we probably would have left mid stay. The management here could easily fix these issues with minimal cost(OWNERS ARD YOU READING THIS). Or they should be replaced

I said I would never go to Africa. The flight was just too long. I am SOOOOO glad I did. Kapama Southern Camp was a once in a lifetime adventure. Our Guide, Lanie, and Assistant Guide, Lebo, were the absolute best. We never expected them to know as much as they did about the animals or their habits (even the fascinating dung beetles). It was really just one of our best trips. The lodging itself was absolutely gorgeous, as well. For once, it was a place that lived up to its pictures. We used our private pool every day. It was a serious luxury. And, our housekeeper was wonderful. The food, too was excellent, as were our servers. We hope to return. We definitely miss Lanie and Lebo!
