I had booked 3 nights through ******* and trip.com, but they were overbooked. I was introduced to another hotel run by a family without being informed that it was overbooked. I found out about the overbooking when I was about to be charged the additional difference the next day. Since I had made reservations through two internet sites, I had emailed them to confirm my reservation in advance, but they said they didn't do it because they didn't know how to use email. They said they stopped listing online travel agencies, but they are still listing them. Even though I had made the reservation few months in advance and had already paid, I was told that the hotel price had increased and was about to be charged an additional fee. They also asked me to split the additional difference between them, but I refused to pay because it was not my fault. The couple seem nice however the experience felt like a scam. I trusted the good reviews too much. They should have apologized for overbooking, but they never did.
