The Lumière

The guesthouse does not provide attentive service as advertised. There is no restaurant or massage room on the premises as advertised. When I needed laundry, the owner directed me to a laundry service on another street. My room had a view of the city but in fact it looked at the walls of neighboring houses. The old guests' trash had not been cleaned up. There were ants in the room. There is no warm water for showers at all  The room door lock sometimes could not be locked, sometimes could not be opened. They provided me with the original key to use it. The room did not have a safety lock to protect my belongings while people often entered the room to make repairs. I stayed there for 4 days, and on 2 days they needed to enter the room to make repairs. The message notifying me of the repair was sent very late, close to the time they wanted to do the work. The repairman changed the appointment and it took a long time to wait for them, causing inconvenience to my work schedule. The daily breakfast is only Vietnamese bread, but it is tiny, very little meat inside, a lot of fat and it is soft and moist due to being left for a long time. Moreover, the breakfast is not provided fully every day, when I complained to the apartment owner, she told the staff to take responsibility instead of explaining or apologizing to the guests.  Drinking glasses, toilet paper, trash bags, slippers are only provided upon request.  I hope the owner will make positive changes to be able to welcome more guests.

Beautiful environment, clean and sanitary

The hotel is very close to the Emperor Jade Pagoda and has many shops near. I went with my daughter and we both loved it. The hotel is super clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. They went out of the way to help us. I highly recommend this place!
