For us 33 Lake Terrace was the nicest hotel we stayed at during our time in Sri Lanka. The hotel is beautifully designed, the location at the lake is so peaceful and beautiful - simply amazing. On top of this Mr Panduka and the entire staff were exceptional, very discreet but always available and just very nice. The breakfast was very good but the dinner was just amazing, both the food and the atmosphere. While the location is a bit remote (15-20min walk into town) we enjoyed the uniqueness of the hotel as well as the marvelous views of the lake - highly recommended!

True to the photos - this is a magnificent property and our experience here was the ultimate finish to our 3 week visit of Sri Lanka. Only a 10 minute drive out of town yet the location is such that you feel a world away - completely surrounded by nature; the forest, the lake, the gardens, so many birds, giant bees, shy leaf monkeys (only one sighting!) we even spotted a huge lizard swimming past in the lake. The rooms are generous in size and perfectly appointed. While everything about the villa is just perfect, the standout for us was our host. Generous with his time and knowledge, discreet but available for any request or question. So many wonderful conversations covering a very broad range of topics! Panduka you made our stay so much more memorable - we thank you.

Die Unterkunft ist traumhaft schön in der Lagune gelegen und die Aussicht wirklich toll. Wir waren nur einen Tag in der Unterkunft und haben uns in dieser kurzen Zeit so wohl gefühlt, dass wir gerne länger geblieben wären. Unser Zimmer war wunderschön und super sauber. Jedes Zimmer hat eine eigene Bedeutung und da wir bei unserem Besuch die einzigsten Gäste waren wurde uns die Bedeutung von jedem Zimmer gezeigt und erklärt worüber wir uns sehr gefreut haben. Neben der tollen Lage und Ausstattung sind vor allem auch die Mitarbeiter positiv zu erwähnen. Wir haben selten so liebe Menschen getroffen, vielen Dank ! Auch das Essen war einfach super lecker. Der Pool ebenso. Wir würden diesen Ort jeder Zeit wieder besuchen.

This beautiful boutique hotel is situated on a lake, and has the most magnificent view I have ever experienced in my travels. The staff is very friendly, attentive and always smiling. Food was amazing, rooms are spacious, and has a beautiful infinity pool! I highly recommend this property.

We came to spend 5 days, it was one of the most amazing experiences, I don't exaggerate. The personal super kind we were so pampered. The hotel is amazing, super clean, the food uff the best in the area, we didn't want to go anywhere everything was so perfect in the hotel. Fully recommended!!

no words are enough to describe the joy of staying in this magical place. the rooms are spacious, unique and incredibly decorated. The bedding is excellent. Dinner and breakfast are incredible..thanks to the Chef!! The swimming pool with the view of the lake is magical. The hotel is a haven of peace and tranquility. And what can I say about the Staff...from the manager to the gardener, they are all exceptionally kind and professional...thank you to them for making my weekend a pure joy. This is my second stay in this wonderful place...and I will come back very very soon
