Pennystella Apartments

We had the pleasure of discovering Pennystella’s for dinner whilst in Agia Pelagia. Overall excellent experience! Stella was so lovely and went above and beyond to make our time memorable. From the complimentary shots of raki, to the homemade tzatziki and cake for dessert, the service was just incredible. Not to mention the amazing views, we would recommend this place!

This review is specifically for Nikolas and his family that run and operate the cafe/diner at the pennystella apartments. I’ve traveled around the world a dozen times now, and I have never been in such welcoming company. We stumbled upon the Pennystella cafe randomly a discussed accommodations for a birthday dinner of 8 people and were provided with an exquisite meal of slow cooked potatoes and pork cooked inside their wood burning oven at the property, along side many other hand made dishes of shrimps, garden beets, and marinated fish. It was so delicious, we made reservations for another two days dinner, one day with huge plates of local caught red snapper from the morning. If you’re wanting a personalized experience with warm hearts and love put into your dinner, then look no further. A lot of the other restaurants offer these typical tourist menus, which are just ‘okay’, but dinner with Nikolas was something that I will always remember.

Me and my mum came to this restaurant to eat most of the time we were in Crete. It is so special, from the staff who are amazing, to the amazing food and great wines!! The staff go above and beyond for you and will always help you with what you need. It felt like home for me here and I miss you all already. Love from the jersey girls, we will be back!!!

Sometime you are looking for an appartment and find an other family.. This place is absolutly perfect! Rooms are very nice, the pool is clean and fresh and food from Angela is delitious! I was never on a place like this - where you feel like you are home! Beautiful owner Stella and her family will make you feel you are a special one! Me and my family spent there 3 weeks and this was for the first time I was craying before leaving. If you will decide to visit this lovely place with an amazing sea view, you will not regret! There is many beaches you can take a rest and enjoy the sea but be prepare for a little wolk :-) Up and down is your daily routine.. The nearest shop have everything you need and is very close to apartments. Thank you Stella for an amazing holiday - looking forward to see you soon! Eigentlich hatte ich ein anderes Hotel gebucht, welches mir kurzfristig abgesagt wurde, sodass ich in das Pennystella umverlegt wurde. Dies erwies sich als außerordentlich gute Fügung des Schicksals. Ich wurde su unglaublich herzlich aufgenommen und es kam mir vor, als hätte ich meine Familie in Griechenland besucht. Weder an den Zimmern noch an der Anlage gibt es etwas auszusetzen. Alles ist sauber, ordentlich und mit viel Liebe gepflegt. So spiegelt sich das familiäre, liebevolle Miteinander auch in dem Umfeld wieder. Toll ist, dass die Zimmer über eine kleine Küchenzeile verfügen. Ich bin mit der Ausstattung zurecht gekommen, hatte mir aber ein Trockentuch und Gewürze mitgenommen. Ich denke aber, dass ich auf Nachfrage alles bekommen hätte, was ich zusätzlich zum kochen bräuchte. Das Essen in der hauseigenen Taverne ist ebenfalls ausgezeichnet und wird täglich frisch zubereitet. Auch auf Wünsche wird eingegangen und es ist einfach unglaublich nett dort zu sitzen und zu essen. Egal ob morgens oder abends. Das Schlimmste was man machen kann, ist in dem Ort an der Promenade zu essen. Fürchterliches Essen, welches mit griechisches Küche absolut nichts zu tun hat auch wenn es auf den ersten Blick so scheint. Ich bereue, dass ich dort einmal gewesen bin und nicht wieder im Pennystella war. Allgemein war es ein toller Aufenthalt. Vielen lieben Dank für die schöne Zeit ❤️

Al nostro arrivo in Grecia eravamo molto stressati ma col passare dei giorni ci siamo molto rilassati e il merito è stato di questo splendido posto e dei suoi proprietari, capaci di accogliere sempre col sorriso. Bellissimo il panorama dalla terrazza, buonissimi i pranzi e le cene a base di pesce fresco. E poi c'era la piscina... Tutto perfetto!
