What an excellent place to stay. We came for a family wedding and were made welcome throughput our stay. Hotel and staff were exceptional as was the castle! Food was put of this world, even for me who has coeliac so needs gluten free! Hotel shuttled us between the Vale and the Castle which was a God send for those wearing heels! We paid for a basic room, let me say there was nothing basic about it!! Huge comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom with a walk in shower, the usual tea, coffee, water etc, if this was basic I would never leave the higher grade rooms! Diolch yn fair iawn, thank you very much, it was a pleasure to be your guests.

We stayed at the Vale for a wedding we attended in llanerch Vineyard, the stay from start to finish was amazing, we used the Spa facilities before we checked in and it was lovely, we asked if our room was ready early and we were looked after By Someone called Garreth who was amazing such a helpful member of staff and he couldn't have done enough for me and my wife a brilliant and funny Guy who's customer service is exceptional, breakfast was lovely and also were the rooms, we will Definitely be coming back, many thanks Simon and Chloe

Had the absolute joy of getting married at the Vale resort last Friday. The location was magnificent. But this would not have been made possible without the help and support of the Vale staff. Grant (sorry can’t remember last name) for his attention to detail. And unflappable attitude. And to Garth Jones who professional attitude, his work behind the scenes was amazing. Kept everyone relaxed with his great sense of humour.

We had a great experience. We had decided to elope and get married with just our two children. When we arrived at the Vale, Garreth who was front of desk made a huge impression on us. He was so kind and went above & beyond for us. He honestly couldn’t do enough. The food in and facilities where top notch! Thanks for making our special day even more special. We look forward to our next stay.

We bought the spa and overnight stay package for our 1 year wedding anniversary. Everything was lovely, we had a light buffet lunch in the spa, 3 course evening meal and a breakfast - all of which were delicious. We were surprised with a free room upgrade and bottle of wine on arrival and the staff were great. Especially Alana in the restaurant and Edward and Gareth on reception. Would definitely come stay again and recommend to anyone. Thanks again 😊

I was lucky enough to get married at the Vale Resort this weekend and felt compelled to leave a review after a brilliant evening and stay. The food was lovely, atmosphere/ scenery beautiful, and our room exceptional, but what really stood out was the service we received. Grant and the events team worked hard throughout the evening to make sure food was topped up and everyone was having a wonderful time. He also checked in throughout the day to make sure all was ok and keep us feeling confident that every detail was under control. But most of all we’d like to say a massive thank you to Garreth Jones in guest relations who went above and beyond to look after us before, during and after our stay. Friends and family all noticed the huge difference he made and the passion he has for his role. I don’t think we’ve ever experienced such good customer service, where we’ve felt so looked after and cared about as a customer! We hope the value he brings to the resort is recognised as he truly made it a perfect day for us!

The whole stay at the Vale was fantastic. Everything from the sports and leisure facilities to the walk around the lake and castle. The Guest Relations Manager Garreth was particularly helpful and friendly, never to busy to provide us with information etc.

Stayed there for 1 night and did the Gin Making Experience. What a fantastic experience. The hotel and all their staff were really polite and efficent. I can see why the Welsh rugby and Football teams stay there. Hopefully will return there in the future.

We stayed at The Vale in July to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. It was lovely to return and relive some of the magical memories from our wonderful day at Hensol Castle. We’d originally booked for a standard room but we were contacted by Garreth a week prior to our stay and he kindly offered us a complimentary upgrade. The room (a junior suite) was incredible and a wonderful touch to celebrate our anniversary. All staff were amazing and very accommodating. Thankyou so much to Garreth for the room upgrade, it truly made our anniversary very special. We’ll definitely be making our stay at The Vale an anniversary tradition!

Great place to stay, lovely staff who were very helpful, we’ve stayed a few times and always receive excellent service, perfect for family holidays, the room, food and facilities was of very high standard, we look forward to going back soon. Can highly recommend

I stayed in this hotel for a break and for my neice's wedding which was held nearby. As soon as I arrived, the Customer relations manager , Garreth Jones, was absolutely brilliant, helping with luggage, rooms, gave us a better room than booked, was just so professional and couldn't do enough for us. I have travelled all over the World on business and very rarely have found such a kind, helpful and attentive person as Garreth. The room was lovely and he was the reason that the stay was so pleasurable. I will definitely go back to this hotel (as long as he is there!) Thank you to the Vale Resort Hensol Park.

Stayed in junior suite ( 503) which was lovely & spacious. Bathroom was gorgeous & patio area etc was great. Bed was huge. Had mixed grill for supper which was delicious. The waitress / front of house manager Beth was superb at her job and really worked the room. Unfortunately the fire alarm went off at 1:30 ish and again x2 mins later. Both times only a quick blast each time so obviously a system fault. Took ages to get back to sleep. Mentioned it at check out & receptionist was super defensive & rather snotty in attitude. I’m sure will get generic response about the alarms being there for our safety but if it was a real alarm occasioned by say smoke then it wouldn’t have been shut down so fast. A polite empathetic response would have been appropriate. I wasn’t pitching for a price reduction or anything troublesome. Stayed at llanerch vineyard at Xmas & much preferred the vibe there.
