Two-night stop-off on our way home from Scotland. Visited the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway (via Wrynose and Hardknott passes) on our "day-off". This is a 2-bedroom B&B - we were pleased to be in the comfortable upstairs room. Breakfasts were very good. Recommended.

We enjoyed our stay at Mere Lodge in Hawkshead very much. Darren is a friendly and engaging host who gave us good advice about the area and recommendations that were helpful. Our bed was very comfortable and we were provided with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Breakfast was customizable and tasted great! We'd be happy to stay here again.

Great b&b - superb location, spotless & comfy. Great breakfast too! We travelled as a couple & dog for 2 nights. Owners Darren & Ros have got this place spot on 👍🏽. And we will most definitely be returning. Great value for money too for such a central location.

Had a lovely 3 night break recently. The room was VERY clean, the best breakfast. Darren is very accommodating, friendly and goes above and beyond to make your stay amazing. Loved the the lounge area where we could chill out at night. We will defiantly be booking again. Thanks for having us 😊
