"Ideal for families with children; there are numerous children's activities. The kids club is small but has general facilities and functions; it is not open all day, two or three hours in the morning or two or three hours in the afternoon. The new children's pool is great, not big but it is hard for families with baby. After all, there is a large pool next to it."

"The hotel is a converted country home located in the heart of Hampshire.
Plus - Rooms are a good size.Friendly staff. Location. Private parking. Clean and tidy.
Minus - The building is tired and in desperate need of investment. Evening dining is limited to pizza. Breakfast lacks variety and is often cold if you are not early."

"Needed somewhere to stay for work. Booking in advance was easy and loved the included breakfast and WiFi. Rooms could do with a bit of love, everything looks very old and less than half the lights were working. However, the service from staff and amenities provided made up for the room."

"Just needed two nights stay at short notice.
Lucky rooms available at very good rate.
Great location and peaceful despite wedding going on till mid night. Excellent rate as well.
Room was in the stable block, only down side could not open window to enjoy Fresh air as on first floor, very peaceful grounds. The main house impressive inside and grounds wonderful."

"Depressing place at motorway services. I had asked for a quiet room as I was travelling for work. One had not been given however the front desk gentleman was happy to move me. It proved to be a false economy though, since the noise from the room above was extremely annoying. I’m not sure what some people seem to do in hotel rooms – sounded like they were just pacing up and down between seven and midnight!
Otherwise a clean and basic stay. Bed reasonably comfortable.
Won’t stay again as I’ve stayed here two or three times now and I’ve never been really satisfied."

"Clean and comfortable room, a little small, but it was a single room. Good value for money. Quiet environment which I appreciated, as a business traveller. Good location not far from the M3. Polite front desk staff. The only negative is that, like many hotels, weekend breakfast does not start until eight which means no breakfast for me as I have to leave for work at around eight. Wish hotels in this situation would provide a coffee and croissant/Continental option for guests who have to leave earlier."

"Excellent location, very friendly staff. Room was very clean, shower was great! Breakfast included in the stay which included a decent range of food, they also had ‘to go’ bags and cups which I thought was a nice touch! Overall perfect for a business trip!"
