Hyatt Place Harrisonburg

The staff is very accommodating, the room is spacious, & the breakfast is awesome! Stacia, the breakfast attendant is so kind, patient, and helpful. The General Manager is very helpful. My family and I were returning from our vacation in NYC and Martha’s Vineyard and needed a hotel near the interstate. This place was all we had hoped for and more. It was the best hotel breakfast we’d had in quite a while.

We have stayed at this hotel several times in the past, but were very disappointed this time. When we checked in we were informed that they are now charging $8 per person for breakfast. This, despite the fact, that they are one of the pricier hotels in the area. Although I requested an upper floor room, we were assigned one on the second floor right across from the noisy elevator area. And, as it turned out, also next to dogs in the rooms next to us. Dogs that barked in the evening and in the morning. Fortunately, they were quiet most of the night. The check-in staff were friendly, and the room was clean. It was just the other items that were annoyances.

I wanted to update my review from the last time I stayed here, but it appears I neglected to submit it. This place is the BOMB! We travel from SC to NY a couple of times a year and this has become my new halfway stop. The hotel is new, and clean, has friendly staff, and is right off the highway. I received an obligatory text asking for any special requests and to my surprise when I answered the text at 6 in the morning they answered back. I think they really cared. You have many choices in the area for hotels but what makes the Hyatt so special is their food and dining options. The rooftop bar/restaurant has breathtaking views of the surrounding area. On both my stays the bartenders were outstanding. On our recent visit our barkeep Claudia overwhelmed us with her version of an old-fashioned. The food on the limited menu is 5 star, and priced reasonably. we had the pork belly with some kind of turnip puree and brussel sprouts. The portions are small but the flavor is big! We met some locals who weren't staying at the hotel but were there for the bar and the food it is that good. We then went downstairs to the bar/dining in the lobby. We ordered wings and fries and they were delicious, ok so the fries could have been hotter but after the old-fashioned and a beer who cares? Prices were reasonable and we didn't have to venture out for meals. I was also impressed with the quality of ingredients they used and it appeared they served local. The Hyatt Place in Harrisonburg should be duplicated all over America, they offer outstanding value, clean facilities, friendly staff, and outstanding, healthy food options. We'll be back, again and again and again.

The hotel is very clean the rooms are a little small I paid for a room with a couch and a view so I assume it was one of the larger rooms unfortunately it wasn’t. The only complaint was no daily housekeeping I was a little surprised considering the nightly rate.

Beautiful hotel that looked brand new. Really nice room, great bathroom with nice shower. They have an amazing rooftop restaurant and bar. The ambiance was so perfect and cozy, I never wanted to leave. Gorgeous sunset over the Shenandoah mountains from the rooftop.

The Hyatt Place was a very nice hotel with a great restaurant on the top level with that offered a great view along with upscale food and drinks at a reasonable price. The breakfast was great with gluten free options. There were multiple sitting areas outside with various fireplaces and fire pits to enjoy visiting with family, friends or just to sit and enjoy the outdoors. We will be staying here again when we visit Harrisonburg VA!
